We reached out beloved place, Cries and Fries. The hoarding at the top said, "Uncle Jerry's Land" and in a small font under it was written "Life is peculiar. Enjoy it with Junk". As I read this line, I gave out an insane laugh. It was so good.
We walked inside and took a table. I was observing the place when Chris broke out his vocals. "Hey, May! Welcome to the world of Cries and Fries!"
I was still wondering whether the name of that place was Cries and Fries or Uncle Jerry's Land!
"But, isn't this place Uncle Jerry's Land?" I asked doubtfully.
"Perhaps, it is. But we call it Cries and Fries." Josh replied.
"Your highness. May I know why?" I asked.
"Well, yeah. It's because we come to this place mainly to eat fries because they are insanely amazing and also because whenever we need to blow off some tears or when we have to make someone else shed some tears. Planning, you know. So, Cries and Fries. Makes sense? Don't answer, because I know it does!" Chris explained.
I looked at Chris and then looked at Catherine and Josh, blankly. They shrugged.
"Umm.. alright." I replied blankly.
Soon, a young girl of nearly our age approached us to take our orders.
Without even asking for what we wanted, Chris started. "Can we get four large Fries and four iced cokes, please? Thank you."
The girl looked at Chris and gave him a smile as she scribbled our order on a piece of paper. She looked at us, then Chris and blushed.
And the next moment when we saw Chris, he too was blushing! We were staring at him, looking for the answer to what was happening?!
As he realised that we were staring at him, he gave us a weird look. His eyes were still shimmering and his cheeks turning even more red.
"What? Stop staring." He said, still blushing and smiling.
"That's something we should ask. What's happening?" Josh asked him, giving him a narrow-eyed look.
For a moment, Chris went on mute. Looked like he was into deep thinking.
"Hello?" I said as I banged on the table with my hand.
"Umm.... Actually—" Chris was about to say something when that girl arrived again, but this time, she had our food with her.
She served us our food. The last person she served was Chris.
As the girl was leaving, Chris held her hand and pulled her back, causing her to turn, facing him.
The girl started to blush again and said, "Yes sir?"
"Actually, my coke is a little to cold!" Chris replied.
And we were like, what?! Isn't iced coke, cold? Weirdo!
"Sir, if you say we can boil your coke for a few minutes and then serve you." The girl replied and started to walk away.
We all laughed so hard! Lmao moment! Chris blushed even more harder this time. Surely, there was something happening which we weren't aware of.
"Seriously? Don't tell me you were flirting with her. Because I know how much you like iced coke and still you were like 'my iced coke is too cold'" Josh said, childishly mimicking what Chris said.
"Shut up. I wasn't flirting with her, of course!" Chris replied.
"Seriously?" Catherine added.
