Reece was driving like some race-car driver. His forehead was sweating and his face was turning red. His hands were white from clutching at the steering wheel so tight, as if the blood circulation had stopped.
"Stop the car!" I demanded. He did not listen. Or rather say, he ignored.
"Stop the bloody car, Reece!" This time, I said the same with even stronger voice.
This time, he stopped the car. He parked it at the side of the road but didn't say a single word.
"Calm down. Take this." I said, giving him a tissue paper to wipe off his sweat. "We'll find her. There aren't a lot of places around, so we can check each and every place."
He took the tissue paper and wiped off the sweat, then exhaled some amount of air.
"And stop trying to kill us. Drive a but slower." I said.
The first place that came to my mind was Uncle Jerry's Land. It is the only place Catherine likes.
It took us a maximum of ten minutes to reach there. Reece parked the car and we rushed inside.
A man greeted us and asked if he could help us.
"Sir, have you seen a girl with brunette coloured hair and a long face?" Reece asked.
"Sir, a lot of girls with brunette coloured hair and long face come here. Can you please specify?" The man said.
"Forget it, we'll figure it out ourselves. Thank you." I said and turned towards Reece.
"Reece, you check the eating area. I'll go and check the washrooms." I said.
We both looked all over the place, but couldn't fine Catherine anywhere.
Reece was a bit disheartened. He was probably disappointed that we couldn't find Catherine here.
The next place we went to was the Candy Shop. We could only see one person, as she was the owner of that shop. We returned back disheartened.
It was already 7 in the evening.
"And what if she has returned back?" I said.
"Maybe. But how will we find our?" Reece asked.
"Umm.. Josh and Chris? We can call them up?" I suggested.
"Hell no. I'm not calling up those jackass boys!" Reece sounded a bit pissed.
"And why?" I asked.
"As said, because they are jackass guys!" He said.
We were talking in the car when we came across an open bar.
"Weird. I haven't ever seen this bar before." Reece said.
We got off the car and went inside that place.
All we could see were some drunk people dancing around like some intense jerks. They seemed to be tired of their lives and drinking and dancing away to glory.
As we walked across the place, we saw a large crowd around a counter.
"What's happening here?" I said.
"Let's see." Reece said, and walked to the counter. I followed him.
We pushed some people to get closer and also to get a good view of what's happening.
We saw a girl hanging over some random guy. She was wearing some deep neck and a backless dress, exposing half of her body.
The girl's back was facing us. Plus, it was so dark around that spotting out anything was harder than studying Physics.
That girl was swaying her butt and her hand were around the guy's waist.
We walked to the other side of the counter to see the girl's face.
One piece of my heart was shouting and screaming that it was Catherine. But the rest of my heart was pounding with denial.
The girl raised her hands and her head to go for her next move.
Catherine!
That one piece of my heart which was shouting that it was Catherine, sank.
Reece's eyes were wide open. It seemed as if his eyes are going to drop off the sockets. My saliva was struck inside my throat. Everything around felt so peculiar and unbelievable.
And suddenly, some lights shown, and the girl stopped dancing. The girl huffed, and turned towards the audience and us.
Hah, it wasn't Catherine. Probably because it was already so dark and over the top, we were looking for Catherine. So as per human psychology, we were seeing Catherine in some other girl.
Trust me, tension can make people go crazy!
A sigh of relief went across my face that it wasn't Catherine. But then the point was, where is she?
"Reece, I think we should call Josh or Chris. What if she has gone back to the dorm and we keep finding here around?" I suggested again.
"No, May. I'll never in my entire life call up those —" Before Reece could finish, his phone rang. It was Josh.
"Yes?" Reece answer the call.
"Where are you and May? What's happening?" He enquired.
"And why do you want to know?" Reece said.
"Dude, you guys haven't returned back yet. And Catherine, I saw her going to her room. She seemed highly drunk, like she had no control over herself. I called her, but she went straight to her room. What's going on?" Josh too him.
"Oh no! We are coming. Just wait for us."
"Okay". Josh said.
Reece told all this to me.
We got into his car and he started driving. He was driving the same way as before: like a race car driver. But this time, I did not ask him to slow down. Even I was worried about how Catherine is and what's wrong.
We reached the dorm gate and snuck inside. We ran towards my room. Josh was sitting on the ground, at the centre of the dorm circle. He ran towards us as he saw us.
"What's on?" He asked.
"You'll know." Reece said.
"Where is Chris? Does he know about all this?" I asked Josh.
"No, he doesn't know anything. He is in the activity room, playing chess with some guy."
We knocked on the room's door and Catherine answer. "Come in, the door is locked!" And we were like, what? Sure, she was drunk. Highly drunk!
We got inside. The state in which we saw Catherine was unbelievable. Like, that was the last thing we were expecting to see. God!
