Chapter 3: Meeting FIR

VICTORIA'S POV

I was working on a new drawing when my phone rang, making me jump. I looked at it to see it was an unknown number. I picked it up anyway.

"Hello?"

"Hey Tori" I heard Jacky's giddy voice on the other line. Hearing his voice, for some reason, sent a shiver down my spine.

"Oh, hey Jacky!" I responded, blushing and realizing I forgot to add his number into my phone.

"Just wondering if you were busy today?"

"Nope, I'm off today."

"Cool, would you like to meet Falling In Reverse?"

"Of course!" I exclaimed. My smile then faded as I thought about Phantom. "Oh, um, can I bring my friend?"

"Sure thing. Meet us at Starbucks" He said, telling me where they were at.

"Alright, thanks Jacky, see ya."

"See ya" He said and hung up. I quickly called Phantom.

"Sup bitch?" She answered with her usual greeting.

"Nothin, just wondering if you're busy."

"Nope, am I ever?"

"True" I chuckled. "Can I come pick you up so we can hang out at Starbucks."

"Alright weirdo." She said, a hint of confusion in her voice.

"Kay, see you in a minute" I said and hung up without waiting for her response. I passed my mirror on my way out of my bedroom and almost jumped at the sight of me. I redid my makeup and brushed my hair, flat ironing it for the tenth time that day. I decided my clothes were okay and slipped on a tight, black leather jacket. I looked at myself once more before grabbing my car keys, stuffing my phone and wallet into my pocket and heading out the door. I climbed into my car and drove the short drive to Phantom's house. She climbed in and I pulled out of her driveway, heading to Starbucks.

"Why the sudden urge for Starbucks." Phantom asked, breaking the silence.

"I dunno" I shrugged, leaning way too close to the wheel out of excitement.

"Tori... Tori... VICTORIA!" Phantom yelled, causing me to jump and swerve a little bit. "JESUS! YOU ALMOST KILLED US!" She screamed hysterically.

"ME?" I screamed. "Now what as it Phantom?" I asked, bitting my lip.

"First how about you calm the fuck down and explain to me what the fuck is going on with you." I sighed then realized I was shaking and looking way to eager for just a normal Starbucks trip.

"O-Oh, n-no reason" I stuttered, trying to calm down.

"Victoria" She growled.

"You'll find out in a minute! Jeez!" I exclaimed, annoyed with my best friend.

"Fine" She pouted, folding her arms across her chest and pulling her knees up to her torso. I pulled into the parking lot and turned off the car, climbing out. After Phantom climbed out, I locked it and we walked in. I quickly walked up to the counter and ordered. I pulled out my wallet to pay but felt a hand on my shoulder. I looked up to see Jacky.

"I got it" He told me, pulling out the exact cash and handing it to the lady, not even giving me a chance to protest.

"What's your name?" She asked.

"Victoria." I said and she nodded. Phantom ordered, still a little shocked for Jacky Vincent to be standing in front of us.

"Jacky, you didn't have to do that." I said, feeling bad that he payed for me.

"Oh yes I did." I didn't even try to argue with him and sat down at a table. He sat across from me and Phantom soon joined us.

"Victoria!" They yelled and I stood up to claim my coffee. Phantom got her coffee and Jacky led us to where the rest of his band mates sat. Jacky gestured for us to sit down and we did. I sat dwon next to Jacky and Phantom next to me.

"Guys, this is-"

"Wait! Let me guess!" Ryan shouted.

"Dork" Ronnie chuckled jokingly, under his breath. He snapped out of his "complete concentration" to respond with "Hurtful" and then resuming "concentration".

"You're Victoria!" He announced loudly, pointing at me.

"Haha yup, I prefer to go by Tori though." I stated.

"Got it" Ron spoke up.

"And this is my best friend Phantom." I said and she waved.

"Now I know why" She whispered in my ear and I chuckled. We all talked until it started getting dark.

"I think we better be getting home." I said, shoving Phantom out of the booth.

"Awww" They all whined. I smiled, apologized and then stepped out of the booth. Jacky followed me and wrapped his strong arms around me, engulfing me in a hug. I hugged him back and we stood there until it started to feel awkward. I wiggled out of his grip and walked over to Phantom.

"See you guys later" I said. They all hugged Phantom and I and Jacky hugged me again. Phantom and I walked out to my car and I climbed in. I ran my fingers through my hair and stared into my rearview mirror.

"Everything okay?" Phantom asked and I nodded.

"Yeah, I'm fine. Tottally and completley... fine." I said, with a couple deep breaths and started the car. I dropped Phantom off at her house and hurried to my house. I unlocked my front door and walked up the stairs. I know what you're wondering, why does a 24 year old girl have a 2-story house. It was my family's and they moved back to Washington so I got the house.

As I plopped down on my bed, tonight's events ran through my head. One name stuck in my head as I did my nightly routines and drifted off to sleep.

Jacky.
