Chapter 24: Wedding Dress Shopping

TORI'S POV

"Jacky, you're going to scare the poor child." I laughed as I watched him walk through the house. We had just gotten home from the hospital and he insisted on carrying her in. Bad decision. He hasn't put her down and we've been home for five minutes. He's just walking around, telling her his whole life story basically up until a second ago.

"Jacky, put her down."

"No! I love her!" He whined. Suddenly, Wendy started to cry and a smile spread across my face.

"I think she wants her mommy." I said and he sighed.

"Fine!" He groaned, handing the infant to me.

"I'm sorry daddy's crazy." I laughed as I calmed her down.

*One Week Later*

"Okay." I heard Jacky sigh. "Alright, bye." He said and hung up the phone. He sat on the couch and put his head into his hands. I creeped down the stairs and sat next t him, rubbing his back. He jumped, looked up at me and then put his head back down.

"What's wrong?" I asked, leaning over and kissing his shoulder.

"We have to go on tour in a month." He groaned.

"Well, what's wrong with that? You love tour!"

"It's different this time. I can't bring you guys because Wendy's still too young and she needs you so you can't leave her. I can't spend three months without my girls!"

"I want you to go Jacky. It's just going to be a lot of staying up late and waking up early for feedings and diaper changes. You're not going to miss much, trust me." I laughed.

"You sure you're okay with me going?"

"Yes Jacky. I want you to go and have fun with your friends." I said, kissing his cheek. "Besides, you still have a month at home."

"True." He shrugged and I smiled, tilting his head up and kissing his lips.

JACKY'S POV

*The Next Day*

I sighed and walked into the room, placing the strawberries and wine on the bedside table next to her. I planned to propose to Tori today and I wanted it to go over perfectly. Wendy is taking a nap and she'll hopefully be like that for a few hours. I smiled at Tori sleeping, she had been so much over the past week and was so tired. That's mainly why I felt bad for leaving her to go on tour. While I'm out having fun, she's stuck in here, taking care of Wendy.

I pulled the ring out of the box and kissed it before gently grabbing her left hand and slipping the ring onto her ring finger. I silently sighed and ran my fingers through her hair before waking her up.

"Tori, wake up." I whispered, lightly shaking her.

"Wha-what?" She asked, her eyes slightly opening.

"Come on, wake up. I have a surprise for you." I smiled and she yawned, sitting up and scratching her head.

"What is it?" I pointed to the table and she gasped. "Jacky! I love strawberries!" She exclaimed with a smile.

"I know." I said, grabbing one and feeding it to her. I grabbed a glass and poured some of the wine into it, handing it to her. She smiled and sipped some, placing the glass down.

"What's all this for?"

"I just thought you should know your apprieciated for being such a great mother, since Wendy can't show it yourself." Tori giggled and picked up her left hand, her eye catching the diamond.
