Chapter 21: Baby Shower

TORI'S POV

I took a deep breath and knocked on Ryan's door, rubbing my small stomach.

"Oh, hi Tori." He said, scratching the back of his neck.

"Ryan, can i come in?"

"Oh, um, sure." He said, stepping aside and letting me walk into his house. I sat down on the couch and waited for him to sat on the couch opposite me. "So, what's up?" He asked, messing with his hair.

"I want to clear the air between us Ryan."

"W-What?"

"I don't want my child to grow up, oh, here's daddy's band but mommy doesn't like that one. This world is hateful enough without me holding a stupid grudge on you."'

"S-So, you forgive me?"

"It took a while, but yes. I thought about it for a long, long time and I realized that you really didn't realize what you were doing. Yes, it was stupid and no, being drunk does not give you an excuse for cheating on me, but I moved on and I'm ready to let go of past grudges too. I figured, if Jacky can get past his grudges toward me, then I can do the same to you."

"Tori, you really don't know how much this means to me." He said with a smile.

"No problem Ryan, it's my pleasure." I smiled. "Any little thing I can do to make my child's life easier is time well spent."

"So, did you guys pick out a name?" I smiled and looked down at the ground.

"We went to the doctor's last week and found out we're having a girl." I said, kicking my feet against the ground. Don't tell anyone, because we're supposed to release the name at the baby shower here in a few months, but we decided to name her Wendy Marie Vincent." I said with a smile.

"Aww that's cute."

"Yeah, Wendy because you know, I like Peter Pan." I giggled.

"Oh Tori, you and your obsession."

"Hey, don't be a hater." I laughed, standing up. "Well, I should be getting back to Jacky."

"Alright, thank you so much Tori." He said, hugging me and walking me to the door.

"Bye Ryan." I said, walking out the door.

"See ya, take care of little Wendy for me."

"Will do." I said, rounding the corner to my car.

*Three months later*

"Tori! People are going to be arriving any minute!" Jacky yelled from downstairs.

"I'm coming, I'm coming." I said, smoothing out my black dress. I had grown a considerable amount since I'm six months now and I've had to go shopping for clothes every month. Even though we were having a girl, I refused to wear a pink dress, so, after an hour of torturing Jacky in that dress store, I finally picked out a plain black one. Even though I refused to wear a pink dress, that didn't mean that we couldn't still decorate the house in pink.

There were pink streamers hanging from the ceiling and pink balloons everywhere. The cake was chocolate, of course, with white and pink icing, 'It's A Girl!' written in pink icing.

"I can't wait until this baby is born." Jacky sighed, plopping down on the couch.

"You can't wait? You didn't have to gain thirty pounds, throw up for three months and crave weird ass foods!" I said, placing my hands on my hips.
