Samantha woke up, tired. She got 9 hours of sleep but she didn't want to get up. There was no reason to get up anymore. Sure she had chores to do, but she never felt like doing them. The last time she walked the dog was over 2 weeks ago, before her mom had passed. Life got hard and turned upside down very quick. And Samantha wasn't ready for it.

She heard a knock on her door, as it opened. She turned away from the door, putting her back to her sister.
"Samantha..it's time to get u-"

"No."

"Samantha come on...you've been in bed all day. It's already 12:00. Please just get-"

"No."

"Samantha...do it for mom.. please."

"N-"

Samantha went silent.

"Fine.."

She sadly got up out of bed and brushed out her hair as her sister walked back downstairs. At this point Samantha had no motivation and she just wanted to sleep. But she knew her mom wouldn't like that. Samantha was always responsible. And that's not gonna change because her moms gone.

She changed into something else, since she had been in the same outfit for 3 days. She walked downstairs, holding on to the rail. She hasn't been very steady the passed few days because she hadn't walked that much. It had been 6 days since her mom passed away, and she wasn't holding on very well.

⚠️mentioning drinking/smoking⚠️

Maybe, after her chores, she could walk to Janet's and get drunk, to forget about everything and have a good time. Maybe she could even get Rodney to join. As Samantha was thinking, she didn't realize that she was about to run straight into the living room wall. She stopped dead in her tracks and tried to focus her eyes. She turned to her left and walked in the kitchen, turning on the water to start the dishes.

Samantha just finished her last load of laundry. There was a lot to do because Samantha nor Alyssa wanted to clean their moms clothes. Alyssa ended up doing it, while Samantha put another load in. Samantha did her best to ignore what had happened, and stay positive. She knew that her mom wouldn't want her to be sad.

There was only one chore left to do, and that was walking the dog. Emmy hadn't been the same either. She wouldn't go out as much and she stopped drinking her water. She still ate, but only half of her food. Just enough to make her hyper for a few minutes. And after her hyper session was over, she would fall asleep either on the floor or on the couch.

Samantha decided that she was going to head over to Janet's once Alyssa fell asleep. Around 9-10 o'clock. Until then, Samantha would have to wait.

She did the normal, putting on her coat and her boots. Grabbing the spare house key, along with her phone. She put the leash on the dog and walked out front, heading towards the road. Samantha didn't know if it was just her, but a lot of things had changed. Even the way Emmy walked. She was only 3, so Samantha knew it wasn't because of age. Emmy walked with caution, instead of joy. She always had her tail up, but now it was down. Her ears would go straight up, but now they're sitting down to the side of her eyes. Samantha didn't like this but she decided to take no attention to it.
