Samantha darted down the hall way, dragging the bar behind her. She ran, tripping over her feet, and dragging herself along in a panic. A small tear formed in her eye. She didn't know what would happen if she got caught again. There were so many punishments possible.
She ran quickly to the door. She skidded to a stop in front of it. The doors were locked shut, but there was wooden pieces over where the old windows used to be. She gripped the bar and slammed it against the wood planks. She did this over and over again. They began to crack, and when they reached their suspense, they fell off. She forced the bar through the glass window, shattering the glass onto the floor.
There was barely enough room for her to get through. She would have to suck her stomach in. She threw the broken bar through the broken window, and put her arms through it.
"Samantha." There was a deep voice, along with soft whimpering. Samantha turned around slowly.
The fear in Scarlett's eyes seemed to sink itself into Samantha's mind. Dexter held Scarlett against the wall by her waist, and began to squeeze her.
Samantha's jaw dropped, and she looked at Dexter with a look of disbelief.
"Let her go.." Samantha growled.
"Mmh, what was that? Speak up." Dexter furrowed his eyebrows, tightening his grip around Scarlett. She whimpered in pain, and looked down the hall at her friend.
"I said.. LET HER GO!" Samantha shouted. She kneeled down and picked up a couple pieces of shattered glass. She threw them, hitting Dexter in his arm. He gasped in pain and dropped Scarlett. Scarlett quickly forced herself up, and hopped on one leg to Samantha.
Samantha picked her up, and gently put her through the window. She set her down on the ground and signaled for her to start running as fast as she could. Scarlett turned around and limped off towards the light of Janet's house. Something snapped in Samantha's mind.
Janet...
Rodney..
I have to go get them.
Samantha turned around and saw Dexter rip a piece of glass out of his arm. He winced in pain and looked at Samantha. She stood her ground, standing straight up with her hands by her sides. She held her hands out towards Dexter, and he darted towards her.
He roughly grabbed her and slammed her against the wall, knocking the wind out of her. She breathed heavily, and grabbed another piece of glass. She shoved it in his "eye" and he nearly screamed in pain, but he tried to keep it quiet.
Samantha quickly got up, and ran off down the hall, breathing heavily. She quickly ran to Janet's cell.
"J-Janet!" She shouted.
Janet woke up and quickly got up, running to the front of the cell.
"Samantha- what are you doing!?"
"Getting... you out of here.." She grunted.
She grabbed the bar, and yanked it backwards. It snapped easily, and some rust fell off the top of it. Samantha pulled it off and Janet jumped out. She hugged Samantha and started crying.
"Janet.."
"What..?"
"Promise me, when you get out of here.. you won't tell anyone about this."
