Chapter 29 - He's An Alpha Now

So Im a werewolf. My dad aparently is a werewolf. Im not sure if he's currently dead or alive. There are also creatures in Beacon Hill known as Vampires and they have been making my life a living hell these past few days. Derek gets stuck in my best friend's head and got out two nights ago with the help of Jackson's alpha. Stiles still hasn't told me who that alpha is. He believe's that it isnt his secret to tell. And now one of my new close friends is dead. 

Did I miss anything?

I was lying down on my bed after dinner, thinking about the past few days and my life before all this happened.

I think I would have liked my old life a lot better than this one. Back then, everything was just normal. Completely ordinary. My life was pretty simple. Wake up, go to school, come back after lacrosse practice. That was just it for the past few years. Atleast until Peter came into my life.

I heard my phone ring inside my pocket. I took it out and saw a message from Derek.

Come and pick me up at my old house. Now - from Derek

Hello to you too. Why? -  from Scott

I replied. Derek was persistent as he replied back. After a few replies back at each other. I sighed defeatedly while looking down at the messages. It's been a long time since I've been down to the old house

(Derek's pov)

I was lying down on my bed when I received a text message from Deaton. After I read the message, I immediately got of my bed and ran towards my car. Once I reached my car, my heart almost sank looking at the state of it (thanks to Jackson or Jake or whichever you'd like to call him)

I took out my phone and texted Scott

Come and pick me up at my old house. Now - From Derek.

A moment later, Scott replied

Hello to you too. Why? -  from Scott

Just hurry up will you!! -  from Derek

Fine!! - From Scott

I put my phone back inside my pocket and went in to wake up Boyd and Erica. I almost forgot about these guys. I hope whatever Deaton is doing to him is "Okay". If it isn't, what's the worst that could happen. I'll just have to rip his throat out right.

We waited outside for about ten minutes before Scott came in his mum's pearl black BMW. He stopped right in front of us. We all got inside the car. Boyd and Erica sat at the back comfortably . Me on the other hand was not so comfortable due to the fact that I'm not driving this car

"Sorry Derek, I don't trust you with my mum's car " I opened my mouth to protest but was stopped when Scott hit the accelerator hard. My head immediately jerked backwards into the head rest above the seat.

"whoa are you okay?" Boyd asked but Scott ignored it. I looked at Scott's face and knew that he knew too. He was serious, probably angry too. If he didn't know , he wouldn't be driving this fast Judging by the speed.

A few minutes later, We stopped just outside the clinic. Scott and I were the first to get out and into the clinic . As soon as I entered, I was hit by a strangely familiar scent. This scent didn't belong to any of us. It doesn't even belong to his body inside the room. We ran into the first room and saw Deaton working on his body.

"What happened to him?! " Scott and I asked together.

Deaton glanced up at us and back to his Isaac's dead body on the table. Boyd and Erica came in and froze at the sight of Isaac's body. He was lying down on top of one of the metal tables. Deaton was injecting a syringe into Isaac's arm.

" What the hell is this?! What the hell are you doing to him?!"Boyd shouted and grabbed Deaton by his neck. Boyd lifted him into the air. Deaton started to choke as Scott and I tried to free him. Boyd pushed Scott down to the floor. He slid across the room into the side wall.

"Calm down!!!!" I roared at Boyd who almost started to transform. He then looked at me. His eyes were glowing yellow. He slowly started shifting back as he let Deaton free.

Deaton started breathing heavily and tried to catch his breath.

"I'm sorry " I said

" It's okay, I would've done the same thing if another doctor was doing this to my friend's dead body" Deaton said after catching his breath.

"What were you doing with him? " Erica asked angrily as she went to stand beside Isaac. She indirectly warning Deaton not to say anything she didn't want to hear. In fact, we all were.

" Did you figure out who or what did this to him? "Scott got up from the floor and stood beside Erica.

" Who? I don't know. What did this to him? I do know. But you guys already know what did this to him don't you?" We all looked up at him as he said that. I already knew what he was going to say. Deaton had mentioned it in his message earlier. The others just looked up at him blankly.

"No, it can't be" Erica whispered

"What do you mean?What did this? "Scott asked

" Derek, this can't be, we killed him! "She said ignoring Scott's question.

" It is him. It's his scent. His poison. He did this to Isaac" Boyd said, trying to hold it in just like I was trying not to believe it.

"Okay. What are you guys talking about?! " Scott asked.

" It's Sam's scent. But it's impossible. I killed him. We killed him in the forest that night" I nearly growled

"Sam as in the guy that tried to kill you guys a few weeks ago? "Deaton asked. I just nodded

"when you guys killed him or thought you did. Did you guys leave him there and started running away without checking on him to see if he really was dead?" He asked again. We all came into realization of our mistake.

"We didn't have a chance to do so. We were running away from the hunters. It was also the same night I found Scott and Stiles in the forest" I said.

"It was the same night " He asked

In a way, that kinda makes sense as to why he would try to kill Isaac. You guys nearly killed Sam, and now he wants to kill you guys " Deaton said while ignoring Scott's question again. A small smirk formed on his face.

" Try?  He's already dead "Boyd asked

" No, I can hear it. I can hear his heartbeat " Scott started listening closer and we all followed. I listened in closer until I could hear his heart beating into his chest.

" But how? "

" When Isaac was dying. I was coincidentally inside the hospital. Melissa McCall had told me what was going on. I immediately started looking for a medicine that would lower his heart rate until it was nearly dead and injected it into Isaac. The doctors thought he was already dead. Isaac's healing ability was also helping to keep him alive until I got him here. After that, I injected an adrenaline to boost his heart rate back up and an antidote into Isaac's body to counter the poison" He explained.

"But? " Scott asked.

" But the poison is a lot stronger than I had hoped it would be. He isn't a beta kanima anymore "Deaton said

" Then what is he? "

" He's an alpha now"
