(Surprise pov)
It was dark out here. I was alone, standing out here in the forest. It was cold and freezing up until the point that I shivering uncontrollably. I had my hands crossed over, as rain drops fell fell from the sky to the ground.
I looked around me, still hoping to atleast see somebody, or some animal, or just any living thing. It's been like this for god knows how long. Out here, alone in the dark, every single day. It feels like it's been months this whole thing started. There wasn't even any sunlight. Every time, there was only the full moon, the rain, and the forest. Nothing else.
Other than the sounds of rain drops, there was also the sound of thunder. Once or twice, I could have sworn it nearly hit me, but I could never feel it on my skin.
'Thud. Thud. Thud' Came an unknown sound from somewhere in the distance. I could barely see anything with all this rain. I turned to see what it was that made that sound.
'Thud. Thud. Thud' It came again.
After a few seconds, I could finally see something in the distance, like an image getting closer and bigger. The image then suddenly split into five animals. One of them had red eyes while the other had none. They were both wolves. Like actual wolves.
The one with the red eyes started walking closer to where I was standing. While walking on all fours, it started to shift, until it became a very tall elderly looking man. The man then came into clear view.
"No" shock came all over me like the speed of a bullet shooting someone. I know this man. No, I knew this man.
"Hello boy" The man said as a wide mischievous grin covered his face. How could he be here?
"Father" I said, gulping my throat while holding my fists.
"Been a long time" He said in deep rough voice.
"Not long enough" I said, trying to sound tough. But, deep inside, I was shaking.
"I see you've made a few changes there" He said gesturing to my hands. My claws were already out, even my fangs. I didn't that I had partially shifted until he mentioned.
"Yeah, so-" I stopped when I looked up at him and saw that his face had changed. His eyes that were completely normal a while ago, was now bright red. His teeth also had two fangs on each side.
"What? Surprised?" His grin stretching even wider. I could imagine the very joy he was probably feeling at this moment.
I didn't wanna say or admit it. When I became a werewolf, I thought I was finally over all of this. My father had tortured me all my life before he supposedly died in an accident. He would put me and my brother in a freezer in our basement just to punish us for failing in class.
Luckily my little sister, Anna, was born after he died. The point is that I thought I had grown stronger, but why do I feel like nothing has changed between me and my father. Why does it feel like he's still much more stronger than I am.
"Are you ready, boy? He asked, but before I could reply, he was already in front of me. I couldn't even catch his movement. Before I could do anything, he pushed me against my chest with both hands. The impact was strong enough to get me off the ground, into the air, and hitting my back against the tree behind me.
I laid there on the wet ground as it continued to rain heavily. The sound of rain and thunder was still present in my ear. I could hear footsteps getting closer and closer. Before I realized, I was lifted from the ground by my father, and was thrown into the same tree. My right rib made contact with the tree, causing it to break down towards the other side. I could feel my ribs breaking at the moment of impact.
