Warnings: Someone passing out due to the cold.
It was five PM. Five PM. 30 minutes before a large snowstorm was supposed to hit Yokohama. Atsushi was worried for himself, yes, but he also wondered about his boyfriend, Akutagawa Ryunosuke. The black haired male had an assignment from the Mafia in one of the parts of the town where the storm was forecast to be the most severe. He was hoping Akutagawa was finished with his assignment before it hit. Man, was he worried.
"Hey Ryu? You almost done with that assignment?" he texted Akutagawa, as he walked along the road. The roads were almost deserted by now. Everyone was really bracing for impact, he thought to himself. He was finally able to get home, and just in time at that. there were only 10 more minutes until the storm hit.
He sat own at the table after he had put some instant noodles in a pot of hot water. it was late, and he wasn't in the mood to cook anything. He would have cooked to relieve some stress but he kept thinking about his boyfriend. How he wanted him to come home right now. He took out his phone and checked if Akutagawa had responded. He hadn't texted back so Atsushi texted him again.
"Akuuuuu! Please hurry and finish your work.. We only have 10 more minutes until the storm hits! I'm worried..."
Soon the noodles were done cooking. He set out two bowls and poured some of the noodles ito both. He set one across from himself and started to eat the one on his side of the table.
"I guess he'll have to come home after the storm... Maybe he'll stay at Chuuya and Dazai's house... Yeah. Their house is close to where he is working..." he thought to himself as he blew on his food. Atsushi finished about half of the noodles when he decided to try and get some sleep. He looked out the window one last time and he saw some flurries falling. "I hope you're home before it gets to its worst Aku.." he said to himself as he turned away from the window. He went upstairs, got into bed, and shut his eyes. After a while he drifted off to sleep.

"Damn it. I'm not gonna make it in time... "
Ryunosuke thought to himself as he dragged himself along the icy sidewalk. It was two hours since it had started sowing. It would snow for 2 more hours. He was caught out in the worst part of the storm. The climax. The winds blew and bit at his face. He, for some reason, had only worn his usual over coat, despite his boyfriend, Atsushi, warning him that the snow storm might hit while he was still at work. He now knew that that was a poorly made decision.
He trudged along the path, the wind making it's way past his coat and chilling him to the bone. Each step he took seemed to make him shake all over. He then stepped on some ice and fell, hard on his side. He was fine but was a bit shocked by the sudden impact with the ground. He hauled himself up and back onto his feet, and continued along to path back home.
"Why didn't I go to Chuuya and Dazai's house?" he questioned himself angrily. That would have saved him a lot more trouble than walking back to his house in the cold. After a few minutes Akutagawa realized he was running out of energy. He knew it wasn't advised to take a rest in cold weather but he did so anyway, sitting against a building on the cold sidewalk. He lay his head against the wall of the building and tried his best to cover himself up with the coat.
"Come on Ryunosuke.. stay awake... he said tiredly to himself as he struggled to keep his eyes opened. He soon found himself submitting to sleep. he didn't bother to fight it. He was too tired to even move so what's the point of trying to fight it? He then closed his eyes and drifted off into sleep. . . . .
Tow passers by, who were also walking around, but were wearing much heavier coats, found the man asleep against the building. Fearing his life may be in danger, they rushed over to check if he was alive or dead. They found that he was ice cold and that his breathing was very low. They picked up the man and took him to the nearest hospital. Akutagawa, after several hours, eventually woke up. He looked around at his surroundings.
"Wh-where am I...?"

Atsushi woke up with a start. He heard loud knocking against his door. He hurriedly put on his shoes and opened it to find Dazai and Chuuya standing there. He gave them a confused look and noted their worried faces. They looked as though they had tried to get there the fastest they could. He suddenly got the feeling something has happened and he started to get worried.
"What happened??" he asked worriedly. Dazai took a breath and looked at him.
"Akutagawa.. two people.. found him.. passed out by the side of a building during the snow storm... Took him.. hospital..." He seemed really tired so Atsushi allowed them to come inside. Chuuya gave him a run down about the events prior.
"We asked him if he wanted to come over but he must've thought that he cold out run the storm.. It turns out Mori an Fukuzawa were walking around looking for anyone who needed help on the street when they found him. Mori called the two of us right off the bat because we were the first ones in his contacts. Anyways they took him to the hospital and called us after. Fukuzawa was wondering if you would like to go and check on him?" Atsushi had sweat running down his face and he nodded in response to the question.
"Yeah of course I'll go see him," He rushed off. following Chuuya and Dazai and they all ran to hospital. Atsushi asked the nurse for his room number and started walking to where Akutagawa had been put. He knocked on the door and he heard a familiar voice.
"Come in.." he opened the door and rushed to Akutagawa's side, who was sitting on the bed, eating some breakfast the hospital had served. Akutagawa smiled and looked at Atsushi. "Hey Atsu,"
Atsushi smiled and put a hand on Akutagawa's.
"Damn it Aku... you worried me. You weren't responding to anything I texted!" Akutagawa smiled and laughed a little. "Sorry Atsu.. I was busy with that assignment. I couldn't get time to text you back." he explained. Atsushi sighed.
"It's ok Aku... I was just worried, that's all. So.. what happened?" he asked, curiosity growing inside him. Atsushi himself had never been out in such cold weather without a good coat so he wanted to know what it was like.
"Well..... it was cold. And windy. I still feel slightly cold..." Akutagawa began explaining and then he paused. He looked at Atsushi then moved the tray of food that he hand and set it on the table next to his hospital bed. He then grabbed Atsushi's arm and pulled him into the bed with him Atsushi let out a surprised yelped and was then pulled into a hug.
"Aku.. we're in the hospital.. is this even allowed?" Atsushi asked worriedly, looking at the door in case anyone passed by. Akutagawa didn't loosen his grip.
"I am cold so I have a right to use you to warm me. He snuggled Atsushi as he said this. Atsushi smiled and pet Akutagawa.
"You know I love you for this Aku," he said as he laughed. Akutagawa let out a small smile.
"Yeah and I love doing this," he tickled Atsushi in the ribs, causing him to laugh out loud. "You are so ticklish Atsu!" Akutagawa exclaimed, seeing Atsushi's reaction. Atsushi blushed.
"Not fair Aku! You know I'm too ticklish!" Atsushi protested. Akutagawa giggled and hugged him. Atsushi sighed and lay down next to him and hugged back.
"I love you Aku," Atsushi said as he leaned forward and kissed Akutagawa. The black haired male smiled and snuggled Atsushi.
"I love you too."
The two males lay with each other and fell asleep, in the warmth of each others arms.
