Ok I know this is not soukoku or shin soukoku but listen, ChuuAku is a MILD COMFORT SHIP to me. If you don't like the ship then you may leave but just so you know, any comfort ships that I have will NOT be written with smut. If you'd like, I can make a platonic version of this story. Sorry but they are only a fluff territory for me. Anyways here I go...

Light and dark. The two words could be associated with good and evil, rain or shine, night or day. However, the two can also be associated with people themselves. For example, how about I tell you a story of two individuals, one the light and one the dark, who found each other. The two grew closer and then realized that a bond had formed between them. The light had been a light to guide the darkness. It's truly a simple tale but it shows the kindness and compassion of man, a true mystery.

It had been two years since Osamu Dazai, the counterpart of Double Black, had left the Mafia. Though every member of the Mafia was affected, his sudden departure mainly affected his former subordinate, Ryunosuke Akutagawa. Akutagawa had looked up to the other male for his whole life being in the Port Mafia. The sudden disappearance left him confused and filled with anger and sadness.

"What about finishing my training?" he'd often question as he sat alone in Dazai's former room, staring outside the window. Outside the room, Akutagawa put up a fake facade. He pretended that he was fine, that he was doing much better without Dazai's training but on the inside he was tearing himself apart trying to understand why Dazai left. Akutagawa thought that no one would notice this but to his surprise, someone did. That someone was Nakahara Chuuya, the other counterpart to Double Black, formerly Dazai's partner in the Mafia.

One night, Chuuya sneaked into the room where Akutagawa watched the sky and took a seat next to him. Akutagawa made no response to the action, only shifting his eyes from where he was looking to Chuuya and back again.

"You know you aren't fooling me," he said after there had been a few minute of silence. Chuuya felt weird breaking the silence but he decided to do so anyway. Akutagawa, not wanting to reveal anything about himself, decided to play dumb.

"I have no knowledge of what you are talking about," he said, still not looking at him. Chuuya sighed and shook his head.

"You do realize that lying to me is impossible for someone such as you, right?" Chuuya asked again. Akutagawa paused and thought for a moment on how he should answer. He finally settled on what to say.

"How is it that I am lying to you when I do not know of what you are referring to?" he asked, still dodging Chuuya's statements. Chuuya sighed again and clenched his hands into fists to calm himself. He hated being sidestepped, especially when he knew the truth.

"Quit it," he said in response to Akutagawa. Akutagawa sighed and shook his head.

"How can I quit something when I do not know what I am doing wrong?" he asked. Chuuya lost his patience with Akutagawa then. He got up and yanked the other member up to his feet by his hair. Akutagawa yelped and tried to get away in protest but Chuuya had too firm of a grip.
