The door opens, I can already tell everyone's looking at us. I can't even look at them.
"I'll be back soon."
We run into Mr. Yagami in the hallway.
"Ryuzaki, I got the tapes."
"You're meant to be in hospital... but thank you so much. I'll be there in a minute."
He guides me to my room.
"Go back." I whisper as he lays me down on my bed.
"I have to make sure you're okay first."
My mind was turning off, I was tired.
"Do you want me to stay with you?" He asked me.
I hesitantly nodded. He comes next to me and sits up on the bed, and strokes through my head.
-L's POV-
She's so peaceful when she's asleep. I kissed her forehead softly. I guess I am developing feelings for her, but that isn't the issue. I continue playing with her hair while I think. Kira got Ukita without knowing his name, does this mean Kira now only needs a face? No, I need to think of this more like a second Kira, with more power than the first, but clearly not as thoughtful. And if this is the case, that means I have to protect Asuki even more. Her timidness makes her very vulnerable.
She's been asleep for about 7 minutes now, I guess that means I should get back. As I walk out the door, I smile at her.
"Thank you Y/N."
