Deduction (Death note L X Reader)

Chapter 10

-Light's POV-

"If you don't obey me, I will kill you." I had to threaten her.

"I will not allow that Light Yagami!"

Rem. Misa's Shinigami.

"If you try to kill Misa, I will kill you!"

-Your POV-

Light entered the room.

"Oh, Light, perfect timing." L says as he eats a donut. "We've received another video message from the second Kira, the last one."

"I have decided to stop trying to contact Kira. But I will help him, and pass judgement on criminals Kira hasn't killed yet."

This message doesn't make sense, and I think L has made the same conclusion.

"Kira and the second Kira must have joined forces." L states.

"What do you mean?" Light asks, usually he would conclude the same as L.

"You didn't sense it? Why would the second Kira just randomly stop after trying so much. Seems to me like Kira told the second Kira to say this."

"That's what I thought..." I added. L smiled at me.

"This also means it's less likely that Light is Kira. And I know he isn't Kira, or that I don't want him to be. Because... I feel you're one of the only friends I've ever had, along with Asuki." L said.

He thinks of Light as a friend? This has to be a trick.

"Yeah, I get what you mean. I've actually missed having you guys around at school." 

He was acting too innocent. 

"Asuki, can I talk to you?" Light asks.

I did not want to talk to him, but there's no reason to decline.

"O-oh sure, we can go to my apartment."

We walk in silence.

"Just close the door behind you."

"Of course." He then begins to come closer to me.

He backed me into a corner, 

"You already know don't you? You know that I'm Kira!" 

I was lost for words, my mouth quivered. He grabbed my shoulder.

"You will cooperate with me, or else I'll kill you."

I couldn't breathe. He's going to kill me. No. He's going to use me to kill...L.

"Do you understand?" He asked, demanding for an answer.

"Y-yes." I stuttered. 

"Oh Asuki, you're so weak. Now, what is L's name?"

His eyes changed, almost glowing.

"I-I don't know!"

"Well I guess you're going to have to find that out, aren't you? It should be easy, considering how close you two are."

What!? How has he figured that out? I don't know what to say. 

My eyes widen, L's signature knock.

Light freezes, he won't move away from me. L bursts in, he's in utter shock.

"Light.  What are you doing?" He says with a stern voice, and Light quickly jumps to his feet.

Light's eyes widen, changing to his 'nice' self. I can't let L know Light did anything. I hold back my tears and look at my feet. Looking at L or Light would make it worse.

"Oh, Asuki fell so I helped her up, that's all!" His voice made me want to vomit. My stomach tied itself in knots. He was going to kill L, with my help. What can I even do about it?

L wasn't convinced. 

"Is that true, Asuki?" 

Light stares at me, I know that I have to be careful here.

"Y-yeah, I'm clumsy sometimes!" I giggled, and I think it's convincing. I hope it is, anyway.
