Deduction (Death note L X Reader)

Chapter 18

The clicks took their place, locking up. Light was handcuffed to L, then on his other side, I was handcuffed too. 

"So this is what you meant by being together 24 hours a day with them?" Misa's attitude sure has changed.

"I'm not doing this because I want to, okay?" 

"Why are you even handcuffed to her? She's not a suspect!" L doesn't know how to respond, nor do I.

"You love her, don't you?" I blushed hard, but I was not prepared for he would say next.

"I guess it is true that I do care about Asuki, after all, we have kissed multiple times."

My cheeks glowed red, why would he tell them that?! That just makes me more vulnerable to Light! 

(Time skip!)

"This has got to be the lamest date I've ever been on." Misa complained.

"No, no, no please, just pretend we're not even here okay? By the way, are you gonna eat that piece of cake?" Classic Lawliet.

"Cake makes you fat."

"Well, I found that you don't gain any weight as long as you burn calories by using your brain." L could get harsh sometimes, but this was funny.

She rolls her eyes at him, and sparks a new topic.

"So this is a double date?"

Misa, stop breaking me.

"...Correct." 

"Ryuzaki, ever since we've been here, you haven't seemed all that motivated to me." Light clearly didn't like all the relationship talk, can't blame him.

"You're right, actually I'm depressed." 

My heart grows tense, how could I help him?

"What for?"

"Well, all this time I had believed that you two were Kira and the second Kira, but now I have to start from scratch. And now, what's the point of rushing into this?"

"Ryuzaki..." 

Misa shrieked,

"Light!" I screamed. A loud thud hit as L and I hit the hard floor.

"Now you're giving up just because your deduction was wrong?! What was the point of putting Misa and me behind bars?"

"I understand, still, whatever the reason..."

We went flying across the room, again. 

"I really don't like getting thrown around the room!" I announced. L looked at me, with a slight look of regret.

"It's as if you won't be satisfied unless I'm Kira!"

-L's POV-

This was the first time I've felt regret, she's been through enough, so I should stop fighting. About what Light said though, 

"That could be true, I wanted you to be Kira."
