Deduction (Death note L X Reader)

Chapter 13

Misa's changed, I'm sure of it. Her words and tone has changed.

"Misa Amane, do you know why you're here?" L asks with a voice changer. 

"Because I'm an idol, duh. I've never had a stalker go this far though."

I don't understand, before we left she wanted to get killed, and now she thinks we're stalkers. Is she going crazy or am I going crazy?

"Let me go! I have to go to the bathroom!" 

"It's been four minutes since you last went, I'm afraid you'll have to wait."

"But you'll get to watch! Isn't that what you want? You pervert!" 

L's taken back by this. His phones rings, 

"Yes...yes...yes...okay." He turns to Mr. Yagami, "your son is on his way."

The ginger-brown haired 5'10 guy entered the room. The sight of him makes me anxious, he has so much power over me. I hate him, when I see him I just want to cry in L's arms.

"Ryuzaki, I might be Kira." He says this so calmly, what is the meaning of this Light?

"What do you mean Light?!" Mr. Yagami shrieked, this is difficult for him, as a father, as a son.

"Well, L is the best detective in the world and he's sure that I am Kira. Maybe I've lost memory of being Kira now."

L has no reaction, he stares at Light, trying to see through whatever plan he may be planning. 

-L's POV- 

If we do restrain Light Yagami and criminals continue to die... Even if he is Kira then he'd no longer be Kira? Is that his aim? If he manages to do that, then Kira will continue to exist.

What I'm about to do is necessary, Light even insisted on it.

"I don't want to do this but, Light Yagami will be restrained and placed under confinement for an undetermined amount of time."

-Your POV-

This means he can't attack me again. or kill L, but I can't do this. Watching Light Yagami, the man trying to kill L, everyday. And what if criminals start dying when he's killed? He'll be innocent, that's the thing I dread the most. Light being innocent, him properly joining the taskforce, gaining information out of me about L. The thought terrifies me, I have to get out of this somehow. I have an opportunity right now, I could just be placed under confinement, that's all. I'd have no access to Light, or Misa, only L. That's the only way I can survive this.

-L's POV-

"Then you have to promise that no matter what I do or say, you won't let me go unless you're certain I'm not Kira." 

"I understand."

"I-I need to be confined too!" Her voice startled me, confinement, for her?

I can't let her suffer like that, or, will her suffering end if I do put her in confinement. I can't stop looking at her, she's so beautiful, her E/C is so fascinating, regardless of it being simple. After everything she's been through, it would be hard and terrifying for her to have to watch Light Yagami.

Light Yagami is Kira.

I barely understood how she was feeling when she explained to me what Light had done to her, but now I do. She's scared, of a monster. She isn't scared of me though, yet another monster.

I'll never forgive him for what he's done to Y/N. This'll be hard, even for me, but I'm not worried about myself, I never do.
