Deduction (Death note L X Reader)

Chapter 21

-Light's POV-

Where did Rem go? Suddenly my cell phone rang, it's Misa.

"Misa, I told you not to call me unle-" No. It can't be!

Misa, you idiot! Rem's gone, she saved Misa from her death. Now my plan could fail, actually no.

I chuckled, Y/N doesn't know that Shinigami can die, I'm sure I can find an excuse for Rem's disappearance. 

"L-Light?" 

"Yes?"

"Are we going to go b-back?" Her tiny voice had no power in it. This will work.

"Yeah, I just had to deal with something."

-Your POV-

We walked back into task force headquarters, I pretended that nothing had happened. 

"Where's Ryuzaki?" I asked, as I looked around the room.

"Ryuzaki has gone to the top of the building, you two should check on him." Watari explained in his usual voice. 

The rain overloaded my ear drums, why was he out here? There he was, standing out in the rain, getting drenched. Light called out to him, but it was inaudible. He stepped into the rain, joining L, I followed.

"We'll all be parting ways soon." L said, looking at us.

"W-What do you mean by that Ryuzaki?" I asked, parting ways?

A few minutes of standing in silence goes by, my teeth chattered, it's so cold and wet out here. He looked down, and saw that my legs were shivering.

"Come on, let's head inside." L said.

Water dripped on the ground, I grabbed the nearest towel and dried L's soft black hair. 

"Light, please go back to the task force, I just need a few minutes."

Light left, glaring at me, and I nodded. I knew what he wanted.

"What did he do? I can see right through you." He turned to me, grabbing my pinkie and sat down. 

"H-He said he's going to kill me if I don't give him your name. Then he kissed me, and claimed I would be his goddess of the new world." That was the easiest way to explain. He frowned, and put his thumb to his mouth. 

-L's POV-

Light Yagami, you had no right doing this to Y/N. So he is Kira, there's nothing else to say. There has to be some way to protect her, but even then, we can't arrest him. There isn't enough evidence. Unless, there's a way he could get killed, I mean, it'll happen eventually anyway.

I turned to her.

Would I be willing to go to those measures to save Y/N? Yes. I would indeed, I told her my plan and she hesitantly agreed.
