An hour had passed and still no sign of Pony.
Soda and Darry were out of their minds worried, and I was just... there. Trying to calm the two of them down and assure them that Pony was okay, and just trying to keep them from falling apart, because they seemed on the verge of going insane. After two hours and still no sign of the missing teenager, we all had had enough. And so, at four in the morning, Soda, Darry, and I went and got the rest of the gang, and we all began to search every inch of the town.
Our only problem was that when Darry searched the lot, he told me that Johnny wasn't there. As a result of that, we all stopped by Johnny's house. We all got a large slap because of that, and we had to drag Steve and Two-Bit away so that they wouldn't beat up Johnny's father, and well it took every bit of self control I had to not walk in that house and slap his mother, who was just as bad as his dad. Instead, we all went away, more worried than before, and to be honest even though I knew it wasn't my fault, I still felt like it was. If I had stayed in the lot with Johnny, they both might still be here, because we all know the two of them are together. They never are separated, and no matter how hard we try, they are closest to each other and Dally.

"Wait! That's it!" I exclaim, turning around to face the gang, all of them stopping.

"What's what, Carly?" Darry asks me.

"Dally! We decided not to go get him and wake him up because there's no telling what he is doing. But, think about it. Johnny and Pony are the closest to him, they do almost everything together. They would definitely tell him what was going on."

A lightbulb goes off in everyone's minds and we all stand there for a minute before Two-Bit speaks up, "I know a faster route to Bucks, all we have to do is go through the park and then turn right and within five minutes we'll be there."

We all look at each other once more before we all take off running towards the park, all of us with a common goal in mind, reaching Buck's, talking to Dally, and finding our missing friends.
We reach the park in just a few minutes, not even hesitating to run through it. Soda began to slow down slightly, and I fall back, getting step by step with him, slightly urging him forward and encouraging.

Just as we pass the fountain, I see something sticking out from the other side. Looking ahead, I realize that no one else had seen it and was already at the end of the park.
Circling around, slowly the thing becomes more clear until I let out a scream, which causes all the boys to come running back to me.
Laying at my feet, in a puddle of his own blood, was a dead soc, and something told me Johnny and Pony had something to do with it.
