It was a few hours later, and my cheek was swollen from where it was slapped. When we had explained to Dally what had happened, he was extremely mad; Madder than I'd ever seen him. Even when Johnny had been jumped, he hadn't been this mad, even though he was extremely mad then. Pony and Two had left after that, claiming they needed to get ready for the rumble, but I could tell that they were honestly ready to get out of there because they were afraid that they would say the wrong thing and Dally would snap at them. As soon as they had left, Dally grabbed the wheelchair and pulled me over to the bed, called a nurse in, and got an ice pack before making the nurse get out. He gently pressed the ice pack to my face, holding it there and comforting me when I hissed in pain, as the coldness made contact with the inflamed skin, before it eventually became numb.

He had been mumbling under his breath for the past ten minutes, and I could tell something was bothering him.

"Dal, what's wrong?"

He looks at me.

"What do you mean what's wrong, nothing is wrong. I don't know why you would think something was wrong. I'm clearly okay."

He looks me up and down trying to see if I believed him, which I didn't.

"Alright... but you can always come to me if you need anything."

"I will, doll. I promise you I will."

All is quiet for a moment, his hand touching my cheek, and my hand on his hand,  both of us staring into each other's eyes before he shakes his head, laying on the bed facing away from me.

"I'm gonna lay down for a bit, doll. Go back to your room, I'll have a nurse come get you when I wake up."

"Alright Dal, I'll see you later,"

I say, wheeling around to the other side of the bed and kissing his head, before wheeling out of the room, stopping outside of his door, thinking about what he said.

Something was bothering him, but if he wanted to be alone then I'll let him be alone.

However, as I went back to my room, little did I know Dally was laying wide awake, making sure that I was far away before beginning to carry out the plan he had been making the whole time I was in there. But of course, I didn't know, and when I pushed the door to my room and went inside it, Dally was on the other side of the hospital, pulling the knife he asked Two-Bit for and threatening the nurse if she did not let him go.
