We arrive at Dairy Queen in record time, seeing as once more Dallas was speeding and the speedometer never dropped below eighty, exactly like when we was on our way up here. Halting to a stop in the parking space after we had gone through the drive-through, spending almost all of the money I had brought on milkshakes and cheeseburgers for all four of us. Pony and Johnny had four or five, I lost track after the third one.

"A rumble's gonna happen here in about two days. No weapons are allowed and we even have ourselves a spy from the soc side of town," Dally says.
"Really? Who?" Pony says with his mouth full.
"Ponyboy, don't talk with your mouth full. We might be in a car, but you still need to use your manners," I  say, looking back at the two boys sitting in the backseat.
"Yes, Mom," Pony says jokingly before Dally interrupts.
"It's one of those two pretty, soc girls we met at the theater. I think her name was Cherry Valance?"
Pony begins to choke on his cheeseburger, causing Johnny to hit him in the back attempting to open his airway.
"WHAT?!"Pony yells, causing people from multiple cars to look at us.
"Hush! People are going to recognize you two and then what?" Dally says glaring at the two of them.
"Excuse me sir, do you have a dime?"
"What? No, I don't have a dime. Why would I have a dime? Now go. Shoo," Dally says, slightly panicking and putting his sunglasses down on his face and the two boys in the back doing their best to hide their faces, while still shoving their face full of food.
The girl walks away with a little boy that I hadn't even noticed in the first place, trailing slowly behind her.
Johnny gulps down his final cheeseburger, and Dally takes his sunglasses off and puts them in his shirt pocket before pulling something else out of his jacket pocket, turning around to face the boys before showing it completely. A loud gasp comes out of all three of our mouths when we see what it is.
"Dallas!" I whisper, "why in the world do you have a heater?!"
"Calm your butt down, doll. It's empty. The soc attacks have gotten worse, so I carry it around so that the soc's will leave me and whoever I'm with alone. I'm tired of my buddies getting jumped, man. I'm done."
All is quiet before Johnny speaks up.
"Were going back. I'm turning myself in. Pony, your brothers are worried about you. Me, I have nothing to lose, so we're going back."
"You know, Two-Bit wanted to go to Texas to look for you two man. You're not gonna get a fair trial."
Johnny doesn't say anything else, and it becomes clear to everyone that he isn't going to change his mind anytime soon.
Dally puts the gun back in his pocket before turning the car on again, and tears out of the Dairy Queen once again, and heading back to the church. He's going just as fast as he was in the first place, and when we arrived at the church, we realized that three things were wrong.
One, there were children running all along the mountain, and two, the church was erupted, completely in flames, with thick black smoke coming from it. And three, the two adults were yelling that children were missing, and if you listened closely, there were multiple screams coming from the inside of the burning building. Yeah, we were in trouble.
