I watch Julie perform, the rest of the crowd is going insane looking around at something but I can't see what.

I look at Julie confused and she shrugs.

After they finish performing Julie bows and everyone gasps.

"What?" I mouth to Julie and now it's her turn to look at me confused.

I decide to just brush it off and go to class. When I walk past this one area Julies talking to air.

"Um- Jules? Who ya talking to?"

"Oh! Y/n! Uh. So you see-I-um-"

"Just spit it out!"

"If I told you you would call me crazy." She says, looking at her hands.

"I've never called you crazy not once, maybe chaotic but that's as far as I went." I say.

She chuckles a bit and looks behind her.

"They're ghosts." She says.

"Who are?" I ask, utterly confused.

"The guys that were up on stage with me. I told everyone they were holograms but they're ghosts."

"What guys on stage? I didn't see anything, or anyone." I say.

"How? Why couldn't you-I- okay but do you at least believe me?"

"Well I guess so. I mean that would explain why I couldn't see them but then how could everyone else?"

"That's what I'm trying to figure out I mean like- and now Flynn's mad at me because I lied and she won't like- and I- I just-"

"Don't know what to do?" I offer.

"Yeah."

"I'm sure you'll figure it out but in the meantime you gotta get to class." I tell her, pushing her in the direction of her next class.

Julie has some idea to get Flynn to talk to her and I'm just going with it.

I have no idea what's going on or who she's looking at or anything.

"Wait- what do they look like? Do you have like a picture or...?" I ask her while she and the guys are practicing the song for Flynn.

"Just look up Sunset Curve." She tells me, then starts talking to air.

"Okee." I take out my phone and look up Sunset Curve.

I click on the link and see a picture of four boys.

"Hey Jules? Which is which?" I ask her.

She walks over to me and looks at the phone.

"Okay so that ones Alex, Reggie and luke. I don't know who the other guy is." She says and I nod.

I look at Luke, he's cute. I wish I could talk to them or at least see them.

My phone goes off and I check it.

Mom: hey hun can you come home please? You're dad has to work late so he can't pick you up for the weekend later he has to pick you up now and I can't drop you off because Addie has an ear infection and I have to take her to the pediatrician.

I send her a text back and walk over to Julie.

"My mom needs me home now so dad can pick me up." I tell her and she looks even more anxious then before.

"Really? Can't you just not go this weekend or go tomorrow?" She begs.

"No. Dads taking another long work trip, this one longer than the last one and this is the last weekend I can see him before he goes. Honestly it feels like he's just taking the longer trips to get away from me." I tell her.

"I'm sure that's not true I-" she looks next to me, "what are you doing?- well she can't see you or hear you- I know it's frustrating but you're just gonna have to deal with it- oh stop being such a baby." She continues like this for a minute before turning back to me, "sorry, Luke was-being Luke." She tells me, she gives me a hug goodbye and I leave.

Heading back to moms house to pack up for the weekend.

Time skip

"So where are you going this time?" I ask my dad, getting in the car.

"Naples."

"Like Italy?"

"Uh huh. I'm trying to see if I have a week off so I can fly you up there. I know how much you love Italy." Dad says, giving me a warm smile.

"That sounds amazing. Remember when we went to Rome?"

"Yeah. You loved it there, said you were gonna move there when you were older."

"I still might." I point out to him and he laughs. We talk for a little bit and then we get to the house, my room is in the attic, I like it up hear and it used to just be a reading room but I spent so much time here that dad turned it into my room.

He did love me, really did. He's my father so I guess that makes it easy but he's always had trouble growing up. He and mom had me when they were teenagers.

Mom had Addie with her new husband. Dad hasn't remarried yet, he's barely even dated. I think he just holds onto the past. And the fact I'm growing up scares him. He wants everything to be the same as it was but I know that that couldn't happen.

The weekend goes by quickly, dad and I went for frozen yogurt and we drove down to the beach and spent Saturday there.

On Sunday we sat around the house, eating junk and watching old movies that the both of us love.

When I get beach to moms she's not there.

Adams mother is sick and we had to go take care of her, we took Addie with us and I talked to Mr Molina and he said you could stay with them for the next few weeks (at most we will be two months. I'm sorry!) I hope you have a good time with Julie, I love you and again I'm sorry.

I sigh and pack my suitcase. I'm all down to the Molinas and Julie answers the door.

"What are you doing here?"

"I'm staying for a bit, my mom said she talked to your dad?" I say.

"Yes she did!" I hear Mr Molina say from the kitchen, "and even after they get back if you wanna stay you're welcome to." He says, walking over and giving me the usual peck on the forehead.

"Thanks Uncle Ray." I had taken to calling him this since I've know him my whole life and Mr Molina feels a little too formal and Ray seems not formal enough.

"No problem kiddo." He says and I laugh at the word he used.

He mimicking my dad.

I go up to the guest room and unpack. I turn to see a whiteboard floating in the air and a marker dancing across it.

The air turns the sign to face me and in messy handwriting it says,
Hey. I'm Luke.
