I ran and ran and ran until I reached the fence that signalled the end of the property.
I sat down against the fence and caught my breath.
I hear my father yelling at luke.
I hear another Male voice that isnt Luke's and I know it's probably his dad.
"Where did she go?" My dad yells at him.
"Obviously he doesnt know and I'm suprised she didnt run sooner seeing as how you guys treat her." Luke's father said.
Me too man, me too.

I'm walking through Luke's neighborhood a week later.
I successfully escaped my parents.
They haven't come looking for me but I'm not complaining. I've felt more free this past week than I ever have in my life.
The owner of the bakery near here let me live in the small unoccupied apartment above the bakery in exchange for me helping out and working a few shifts.
I walk through the streets humming to myself. I'm not much attention to my surroundings so when someone crashes into me, wrapping me up in their arms I yelp.
"Sorry." I hear luke say as he pulls away.
"Its fine." I say.
"You look happier." He says smiling.
"I feel happier." I say, a big smile on my face.
"So how've you been, have you found somewhere to stay?" He asks as we walk down the sidewalk.
"I'm great. I'm staying in the apartment above the bakery. They let me stay there I exchange for working a few shifts."
"That's great." He says smiling at me.
I still feel a little unsure of him. I think I always will just a little bit.
My parents raised me not to trust guys who didnt believe the same things we did. I dont much care anymore but bad habits die hard.
"And your nails are growing back." He says grabbing my hand and inspecting it.
I have a flashback to when we were in the treehouse. Him inspecting my bitten nails and me trying to figure out what we were to eachother.
"Yeah. I haven't really been stressed and if I am I can just knead bread until I'm not anymore."
He gives me a funny look.
"Its cathartic." I say shrugging.
He laughs and intertwines our fingers.
We walk down the street talking.
"You know what I just realized?" I say looking at him.
"What?"
"This si the first time we've ever been together in public and actually talked. Like in front if people."
"Really?" He asks and I nod.
"Huh. When did we first start talking?" He asks.
"Katherine Olsen's spring break party last year."
"What were you doing there?" He asks.
"My friend wanted to go and my parents were out of town so i didnt have a good excuse not to." I say shrugging my shoulders.
"Well if you hadn't gone you wouldn't have started talking to me, and this would never have happened." He says.
"What exactly is this?" I ask him.
He shrugs.
"Whatever we want it to be." He says, he stops walking and just looks at me.
God no one should have the right to just be able to look like that.
I think as he looks at me, taking in every detail of my face, his eyes finally stop on my lips.
We both lean in and crash into one another.
Our lips connect and we both smile into the kiss.
I put my arms around his neck and pull him closer to me.
His arms wrap around me.
I cant think if anything else except him. It scares me a bit, the intensity of it.
"Get a room!" I hear a voice yell behind us. I pull away from him and turn to see who it was.
His band mates were looking at us.
They see me spot them and start looking around like they weren't the ones who said that.
I laugh.
"Let's get out of here." Luke says grabbing my hand.
He flips the guys off behind his back so that the oncoming car cant see.
I giggle and he just smiles at me.
we go back to the treehouse.
Night has fallen like a blanket over the city.
The blankets are still here from the last time we were here. I turn on the lantern and grab the portable radio out of the closet.
He lays out the blankets on the ground and rolls one up to make a pillow.
I lay down next to him and he wraps his arms around me. He gives my shoulder a soft kiss and I decide that hes not so bad.
This isnt to bad at all.
