Chapter 23

"Hey are you ready?" Darren asked Kevin as he stood with Mike in the hall waiting for Darren.

"Yeah I'm ready,"Kevin said crossing his arms wondering what he was going to have to do to break the spell.

"You need to over come the spell... while your in it," Darren said as mikes face fell.

"Dude that's impossible, he tried to kill us!"mike shouted as Darren chuckled.

"That's why I'm here, in Viso about 20 years ago we lost our yellow ranger," Darren frowned as Mike and Kevin's faces both dropped.

"Our team never recovered from loosing her. We were obviously heart broken and we were a team member down and we couldn't fight like we used to and we started loosing. Soon after our planet started flooding with Sansu water, it was poisonous even in the air. People were dying, mostly the older and sick people to start off with but them it started getting stronger and the people of our planet got more sick," Darren went on as he took a deep breath.

"That sounds tough dude, how did you survive?" Mike asked eager to know more.

"We had to take our risk and every day we drank a drop of it. It made us sick, but we had to go into hiding somewhere that was protected, we took as many members of the public with us that we could but unfortunately it could only hold 1000 at most. After 6 months our bodies started becoming immune to it and we could morph and fight again, but the risk it took is that we become part nylock..." Darren frowned as Mike and Kevin both took a step back.

"Your part nylock?" Kevin asked shocked as Darren nodded.

"So your part evil?" Mike asked.

"Not exactly, it's hard to explain but your only evil if you are evil inside. If your good you will stay yourself because your mind won't be taken over by the bad. Unless you turn full nylock of course... Not many people in our city turned bad but some did, it was hard but it was either them or we all die," Darren frowned trying to stay strong, although it was 20 years ago and they are nearly back to normal in Viso now, it was still hard for him to think about.

"Wow, so now that your part nylock you can control me?" Kevin asked.

"Yep, why do you think I can't morph out of the suit? I'll dry up!" Darren laughed as Kevin and Mike did a quiet fake laugh, feeling a bit intimated by Darren. Now they knew he was part nylock, Mike and Kevin kept an extra eye on him.

"I suggest we go outside. We should get Jayden to morph just to hold him off but I'll do all the talking," Darren said walking outside as mike turned to Kevin.

"Is it a good idea getting him to do this?" Mike asked him.

"Don't worry Mike I trust him," they heard a voice say as they both turned around to see mentor standing at the door.
