A Man, A Man, And A Devil

This half is the other half of the story—The half way marking point of his life.

What once was black and white is now red and gray.
Oh, Heavens!

To his dismay, the unborn child.
The savior of an innocent soul.

It was the death of a virgin man.
It was the birth of a fighting spirit.

Tears of a man who was not ready to be ready.
Tears of a man who realized the pain of realization.

He didn't blame the girl who caused his tears.
He blamed the one person he could.

Himself.

Another man watched as his lover suffered.
That other man watched as his other half faded away.

As he did so,
The Devil comforted him.

He asked the Devil if his lover would return.
The Devil said, yes, only to die again at his expense.

Then appeared a grave and a chorus of cries followed.
The man sucked in a breath and was set on holding it.

Tis only when his little girl appeared and everything made sense,
As he set his eyes upon her big brown orbs.

He took her hand and kissed the grave,
Tears turning the dirt to mud as he never looked back.

The Devil stayed behind and ascended the man's lover from his grave.
The Devil said, Let us take a stroll now that all is set in stone.
