WHEN HOSEOK ENTERED the apartment it was still empty, but he wasn't surprised as Yoongi worked late hours sometimes. He set down the groceries before going to turn on the TV when he knocked over a picture as he went for the remote on the TV stand. He instantly recognized it as the picture they had taken together after Namjoon's graduation. After Namjoon and Jin's reconciliation, they had ordered in BBQ fried chicken and beer at Jungkook's house. Hoseok had brought this picture with him when he moved in.

However, as he began to reassemble the picture in the pocket of the frame, he noticed another had slipped out. It was a picture of a male and a baby he had no recollection of and he had never put a picture like that there before. The baby was very small and the boy holding it to his bare chest looked strikingly much like Yoongi.

"You found it," came a voice from behind.

Hoseok could've sworn he jumped six feet before spinning around to see Yoongi with his newly dyed black hair and gray sweats.

Hoseok put a hand over his heart and stood up, panting. "M-My God, Yoongi!"

Yoongi tilted his head. "Did I scare you?"

Even though Yoongi ate appropriate sufficient amounts of food, drank plenty of water, and got a proper amount of sunlight, he always managed to look malnourished. Hoseok suspected the remaining factors were stress and lack of sleep. Or it could just possibly be because he's sad all of the time. Seeing him now, rubbing the towel against his wet raven hair from an apparent shower, with a rested blank expression, he could see in his eyes that a nerve was struck. Hoseok prided himself on the fact that he noticed these details, that he could read him when the rest of the world couldn't. Not even Geongmin.

"Yes. I didn't know you were home."

"Well, I'm home." Yoongi's eyes fell on Hoseok's hand clutching the paper.

Hoseok followed his gaze and loosened his grip, trying to decide how to explain how he came across it. He started with a nervous chuckle.

Yoongi took the picture and beat him to it. He scanned it thoughtfully, and although he remained facially neutral, his eyes once again betrayed his inner sadness. "I was hoping I'd never have to look that this again. I hid it in your picture with the unrealistic expectation that you'd take it far away from me."

"Yoongi. . .," Hoseok began.

"Her name was Seowoo," he said. "She was my daughter."

Hoseok could feel his heartbeat in his ears and his blood drained of warmth. "D-Daughter? Was?"

"She was born with a hole in her heart," he elaborated. "My ex-girlfriend at the time wanted to have a home birth. The ones you have in one of those big ass tubs. We had stopped scheduling appointments in her second trimester because she had been doing so well up until that point so we weren't aware of her complications. To make matters worse, our daughter came out breeched. I had to deliver her myself. We rushed her to the hospital, but after she fought for a good six hours, her small body ultimately gave out."

Yoongi said it so emotionlessly Hoseok would've found it hard to believe that he hadn't told that story a hundred times before, but he did know better. He asked, "This is your first time speaking about it to anyone, isn't it?"

"Yeah." Yoongi's eyes hadn't lifted from the picture, almost refusing to.

"That's how you knew how to help Yvette when she was giving birth to Yoona," Hoseok put together.

Yoongi nodded.

"Why are you telling me this?" he demanded though he felt stupid after.

Yoongi handed him the picture, eyes finally leaving it to gaze into Hoseok's. "Because I trust you."

He stood there, dumbfounded. However, looking at Yoongi, he quickly forgot about his shock. Yoongi for once had lowered his guard. His eyes were calling out to Hoseok, even if he wasn't realizing it at the time. So, reading him, Hoseok approached him until the gap between them nearly collapsed. He took Yoongi's face into his hands, closed his eyes, and interlocked their lips. Yoongi's hands settled on his waist. He owed it to Yoongi to open up about his feelings as well. It was the least he could do. And he knew Yoongi wouldn't refuse him.

Okay honestly I don't know where I'm going with this story. It was so clear before, but I'm going to force myself out of this laziness and start plotting the entire story. I promise I will finish this book if it's the last thing I do. I owe it to you guys.
