The Winning Strike

Hinata's POV
As the forth set continued after the super quick, I felt like I had more energy than ever before. I was so excited. With the score now 18-15, I was bouncing to finish this set and win. If we won this set we won the match and the tournament!

"Alright! Let's go!!!!!" I cried and the rest of the team joined in with the cheers.
"One more point!" I heard Kageyama yell. Looking to my right I saw my boyfriend. I think this was honestly the proudest moment of my life. This year has gone by so fast. He's changed so much and for the better. His chest only has scars left over and his eyes were no longer dull. They were always bright and shining and swimming with pride. It's my favourite sight to see. Especially when it's the first view I see when waking up in a morning~

But we had a game to win now. Now it was time to show Itachiyama who the real rulers of the court were.
And since we'd gotten a point it was our turn to serve. And I'm happy to report that Rikiya was up.
"Alright Kiya! Serve up a service ace!"
"Gotcha Hina!" He replied to me. I was in the front so I couldn't see his serve but I knew he'd do Karasuno proud.
With the whistle, I listened for the squeaking shoes and the resounding "whack!" of the ball as it was sent right to the back left corner of Itachiyama's court. With the following whistle and the signal of the flags, Karasuno cheered as we scored the point.
"Alright Rikiya-San! Serve up another!" I turned to see Uroko in the box cheering on his upperclassman.
Ah first year memories were fun.
But anyway back to the game.

And with several more service aces, super quick and receives, the deciding rally began to take place.
The score was 26-27 to Karasuno and if we scored a point from this long rally we would win the game.
With my tongue sticking out my mouth, I watched the ball in anticipation, smacking it onto the other court with every chance I got only for it to be dug up making me growl.
This pattern continued until I finally had enough.

"Alright captain! Bring me your best set!" I shouted as Malo once again cleanly received the ball.
By now everyone was tired and their muscles were screaming. I was in the same position. My legs were burning but I had to keep jumping. If I didn't jump high enough I'd screw up this entire set up.
Kags had obviously seen my approach and knew what I was asking of him.
The problem was so had Itachiyama. As I jumped, I saw each fingertip of each of the three blockers that were in my way. But I had a chance. With the falling set I could do it.

"Kageyama!!" I screamed at the top of my lungs as I reached the peak of my jump.
Then almost as if it vaporized from nowhere, the ball was spinning in place in front of me.
Aiming my shot so briefly yet so accurately, I smashed the ball so hard it knocked the hands of the blocker the ball had gone through to the side and as my feet landed on the floor I took note of the complete silence in the gym.

Looking around, I suddenly head an "I got it!" from the crowd. Looking up I saw that it was Natsu who had caught the ball. And with the following whistle I looked to the flags and my eyes widened whilst my jaw dropped to the floor.
I-I couldn't believe it....
I-It was... It was...

In!!

I'd done it!!

I'D WON THE FINAL POINT!

As the room erupted into cheered and cries of joy and celebration I turned to my team and Kageyama, a loud cry of relief leaving my throat.
"AHHHH!!! WE DID IT!" I cried happily as everyone was wrapped into a group hug. I looked to my boyfriend, my eyes shining so brightly as I looked back at his. His proud grin made me laugh as I felt my back being patted and my hair being ruffled.

"We did it Tobio. We finally won the tournament." I cried almost in disbelief.
"Yes we did greatest decoy. Yes. We. Did." He replied as he held his hand out to help me stand.

I saw something flash in his eyes that made me gulp a little until I was suddenly pulled forward abnormally close to my setter that made my cheeks flush hard.
"W-what are you- hm-!" I was interrupted as my eyes flew open and lips crashed onto mine.

With a hun I kissed back, wrapping my arms around Kageyama's waist.
I chuckled internally hearing Sugawara yelling from the crowd - "Stop it!! That's improper! You're being recorded damn it!"

Honestly I didn't care if this was broadcasted across the entire country. I'd finally gotten everything I'd ever wanted. The happy life I needed. With the added bonus of a celebratory kiss from my one and only Tobio Kageyama.

Eventually he pulled away though and I was blushing hard and panting a little.
"B-Baka-"
"Boke-"

I giggled and soon the entire team was lining up to bow and thank the crowd before we left the gym to shower and change.
Our team was loud with cheer and relief that we'd finally won nationals.

And soon we met up with the former members and rivals that came to watch us.
We talked for hours with celebrations and cheers and pats on the back.
I smiled so much my jaw started to hurt but this was honestly the best day of my life.
Having finally won the tournament I could graduate from Karasuno high in peace. And with the added bonus of Kageyama right beside me the entire way.

I felt happy and free. It had been a very long and very eventful three years but honestly...

I wouldn't change it for the world.
