From the other room,
is nothing short of heartbreaking.
I hear their yelling clear as day,
insults,
more than I can count.
From the other room,
is the reason I won't sleep well tonight.
I wish the walls weren't so thin.
From the other room,
is part of the reason I can't commit.
I don't want to be like that someday.
From the other room,
is the reason I tell my dad to leave her,
every day.
From the other room,
is something I hope doesn't escalate.
The police take a while to show up.
From the other room,
someone I love is getting torn apart.
