Every compliment sounds like a lie,
No matter how many times I hear one,
How it's worded,
Or what it's about.
My eyes only see the worst,
My mind only believes the bad,
And all I see is forgettable.
He says all these compliments,
Every.
Single.
Day.
But all I see them as,
Are just attempts to flatter me.
They're nothing but lies.
