Victoria Hunt

I held the ice on my arm for a while after he left, taking it off when the swelling went down and it didn't hurt as much when I touched it. Sleep was my only escape from the racing thoughts in my mind so I feel asleep soon after.

When I opened my eyes I was blinded by the light peeking through the windows and felt that the bed had dipped down a bit.

I looked towards the end of the bed to see Alessia with a pack of lollipops while watching me intensely.

"I was wondering when you'd wake up? I know who you were talking about last night and like the angel I am I've come to disclose my families secrets." She grinned evilly at me and I reciprocated it, sitting up leaning back against the headboard.

How I love it when people tell me what I want to know when I don't even have to ask much.

Gossip session is in action.

"So, I learned he's one of your cousins and his name is Asrael but that's all he told me." I said to her and she nodded with a curious look.

"My parents, brothers and other cousins didn't want to tell you about him because they don't really know much anyway. My cousins live with my aunts and uncles around ten minutes from here but he doesn't. He doesn't come round much and when he does he doesn't tell many people. That's also why some of the others looked confused." She told me happily and I nodded, absorbing the information.

"He doesn't speak much, and he basically glared my hand off when I checked if he was real." I told her and she opened another lollipop while thinking deeply.

"I can't say much about this because it's not my place to but he hasn't exactly had the best past. Not many of us have but that's a story for another day. If he actually talked to you, feel special because Asrael talks to barely anyone. Plus he hates physical contact, so the fact he didn't throw your hand off surprises me." She shrugged and my brows rose in astonishment.

"You might just be the most mature kid I've ever met." I told her and she nodded, proud of herself while smiling at me.

"Victoria, who're you talking to?" I heard Silas ask from the other side of the door and both our eyes widened.

"I was never here." She told me before rushing behind the door and waiting for him to open it.

"Come in." I called and he walked in with a suspicious frown. From the corner of my eye I noticed Alessia slip out without Silas noticing.

Gossip session was a success.

"Don't tell me you were talking to your imaginary friend from yesterday." He rolled his eyes at me and I stood up with a smile.

"He's not so much imaginary anymore." I told Silas with a smirk and walked into the bathroom.

"Um- well ok then. Come down for breakfast, my mom won't stop talking about you." He shouted from behind me and I replied with an "I will" before having a quick shower.
