Victoria Hunt

My eyes widened as I took in the sight in front of me. Blaze, who I hadn't seen in a year after he left, stood to the side of the room looking like nothing had ever gone wrong.

"Get the fuck out." I stated. I didn't want to be anywhere near him, I fucking hated him.

A sad expression broke through the confident exterior and he shook his head.

"Let me explain, please Victoria." He almost begged, moving his arms around dramatically to express how much he wanted me to hear him out.

"No."

"Please."

"No."

"Please."

"Fine- wait-" I sputtered, noticing my mistake immediately and huffing.

He grinned triumphantly and I rolled my eyes, folding my arms over my chest. Liya looked confused but nevertheless checked her phone before walking toward me with a sad and fearful expression.

"Tomorrow is the day-" she began but I cut her off with a reassuring smile. Although I was basically drowing in nerves.

"I know, it'll be fine." I nodded my head in attempt to reassure us both.

She raised a brow,"Keep telling yourself that. But seriously, I'm going to spend the night at Ava's to really focus on not dying tomorrow." She sighed and I nodded with a small smile.

Liya left with one last glance and I turned to Blaze with an impatient look. I had more important shit to deal with than him wanting to talk when I really didn't give a fuck anymore.

"What's tomorrow?" He asked and I rolled my eyes.

"I thought you were here to explain the reason you left." I turned away and sat down on my bed, plugging my phone in. He looked like he was struggling to find the right words to speak.

"I left because it was my fault they took you. You wouldn't have been safe if I stayed." He spoke sadly and I gave him a weird look.

"My brothers already told me that and now you've said your two sentences can you take your leave." I motioned for to the door and he shook his head again sitting on the couch. He was pushing it.

He looked me in the eyes, trying to find something in them. I didn't know what but when sadness became prominent on his features I could guess.

"You don't care anymore." He stated more to himself than me. I only nodded and walked over to the drawers  to find something to sleep in.

"That's it. You have a boyfriend don't you now? I'll kill him." Blaze almost shouted and I laughed at the irony.

"No, I don't and you were never my boyfriend either Blaze. So please, escort your traitorous ass outside so I  can sleep." I didn't turn to look at him. I might not care anymore but it didn't mean I never did. He left. Not me.
