As the week went on, the band continued to practice as well as Marlie and Luke. Marlie dreading her performance for her project even more every day.

Thursday rolled around, time for her and Luke to finally preform their song in front of their class.

Marlie woke up, her stomach in a knot. She was so nervous she could vomit. Luke always seemed to know how to calm Marlie down.

She grabbed her phone quickly and sent him a text.

M> Luke, window. Now please!

She sat patiently at the window, with her messy hair and oversized t shirt as she waited for the boy.

Luke came over to the window, shirtless and in pajama pants. Which caught Marlie way off guard.

"What is it Mar?" He said rubbing his eyes.

"Luke, I'm so nervous for today. I don't know if I can do it" She said freaking out.

"Marlie, you can do it. You have an insane talent that needs to be shared. I'll be up there with you" Luke said reassuring her.

"I don't know Luke.." She trailed off.

"Marlie... you can do this okay" He said smiling at her.

She instantly felt more at peace. She shut her window, got out of bed and picked out her outfit for the day.

Tomorrow was her birthday and the homecoming dance. The only reason she was looking foward to it was to see her friends play. She didn't have a date, which she didn't mind. She was going with her best friends.

Marlie picked out a red patterned crop top that tied in the front, black jean shorts, her dr martens and wore her favorite jewelry as always

Marlie picked out a red patterned crop top that tied in the front, black jean shorts, her dr martens and wore her favorite jewelry as always. She wore her hair long a straight. Putting on her everyday natural makeup.

She tried everything she could to prepare herself for today. She grabbed her songbook, her guitar pick necklace, and her skateboard.

She flung her backpack over her shoulder and grabbed her phone.

Reggie pulled up in the van, with Alex and Bobby in the back. Marlie quickly got into the van, sat in the front seat and let out a big sigh.

Luke got in the back seat with the other two boys.

"Ready for today!" He said grabbing Marlies two shoulders giving her a light shake.

"So nervous I could barf" She responded.

"Whatever you do, don't get it on the seats" Reggie replied.
