Kong's P.O.V.

I stood in front of the mirror in my bedroom, fusing over my tie. I was a nervous wreck right now.

Today is the first day of court, and having to sit in the same room with my father will be very difficult for me. Even now, I can still see flashes of those painful memories, and it makes me flinch.

I was lost in thought that I jumped when someone touched me, and I nearly had a panic attack if it wasn't for Arthit saying:

"Kong, it's me, Arthit. You don't have to be afraid. I and the others will be there with you from the beginning to the end."

I relaxed in his arms and let out a sigh of relief when I found out who it was.

I turned and faced Arthit and apologized for my actions, to which he said, "Don't apologize. Your dad is the reason why you are jumpy, and I promise when this is all over, I'll give you something else to think of."

That made me blush because I could see it in his eyes that he meant something dirty. I gently smacked his chest while saying, "We need to go and stop with those thoughts for now."

Arthit chuckled and gave me a peck on my right cheek before grabbing my left hand and walking down the hall and the stairs to the front door. We then walked out of the house and got into Arthit's car.

We arrived at the courthouse thirty-minutes early, which was good because Mr.Fai wanted to run somethings over with me before our hearing.

"Sawadee, Mr.Fai."

"Sawadee Mr. Suthulick, and Mr. Rojnapat."- Mr.Fai

"Should we head over to that sitting area to discuss?"

"We should."-Mr.Fai

*Thirty Minutes Later*

We entered the courtroom and parted ways as I sat in the chair for the victim and Mr.Fai in the prosecutor's chair. A few minutes passed as the audience, and Jury members entered the room and sat in their seats.

All the while, I could feel my nerves start to act up again, and my breathing became irregular. I tried to calm myself down, but it wasn't working until I felt a pair of soft, warm, and strong hands on my face. I opened my eyes, which I had previously closed to help stay focused, and saw Arthit bending down in front of me with a smile that was encouraging, full of love, and full of promises of things to come. I smiled back and couldn't help to let a tear fall, which was quickly wiped away.

"I am sitting right behind you. If you need a pat, a squeeze, or anything, let me know. I am here for you and won't let any harm come to you."-Arthit said before getting back into his seat.

The doors to the courtroom opened strongly as my father and his defense lawyer Mr. Kan waltzed into the courtroom with their heads held high. I looked forward, trying not to look at my father. I gathered my courage and kept chanting to myself: "Kong, you can do this. You're not alone, and he can't hurt you anymore. Everyone who loves you is here and will protect you."
