Planning a wedding I didn't even want wasn't my definition of fun. I didn't care about the dress or the stupid venue or the guests or flowers or any of it.

I was sat with Jin in the kitchen with our mothers. "This one would look great on you sweetheart, you have a nice figure itll suit your curves."

Mrs.Kim showed me a picture of a wedding dress in the wedding catalogs she had brought.

"It's nice but it's rather...tight." I said softly. I hated coming off as picky.

"Dont be picky." Mom scolded.

"If you like it I'll wear it." I said to Mrs.Kim.

"Oh no sweetie, this is an exception for you to be picky." She chuckled. "Choose whichever you like."

I went through the catalog my eyes landing on a dress. I showed Mrs.Kim, who smiled.

"Beautiful."

"The venue is booked too. A nice hall. Did you two finish making guest lists?" Mom asked.

"I did, did you?" Jin asked me.

My cheeks burned with embarrassment. "I only have one."

"One list?" Jin asked confusion etched on his face.

"Person." I whispered. "I don't have a lot of friends."

He glanced at his mother who blinked. "Simple girl." She smiled.

I guess you could say that.

"If it's that Myra girl then you can forget about it. That girl will not be at the wedding." Mother said harshly.

I nodded obediently.

"What? No! Invite her." Mrs.Kim said. "It's only one person she wants there." She glanced at jin for backup.

"My mom is right. She only has one request it should be fulfilled." Jin agreed.

I internally sighed with relief.

"It's a small wedding anyways." Mrs.Kim shrugged.

It was small because Jin wanted it small, I was grateful for that because I too wanted a small event. I hated huge crowds, given I had social anxiety hence why Myra was my only friend.

She left though, to Busan a while ago for school. We really only ever saw each other on holidays if my parents were out of town.

They didn't like Myra because unlike me Myra was outspoken, and took smack from no one. They didn't like the possibility of me getting under her influence.

I hope she'll be able to come, it would really make that horrible day much better.

Id have someone to talk to other than my diary. My diary was my only safe place, yes Myra existed but she didn't know about the abuse and toxicity I went through at home.
