Sometimes people lose a battle called life and instead of doing something drastic you have to just walk away. I hope we can meet again someday but until then I want you to know that you're the best thing that had ever happened to me and walking away doesn't mean I'm walking away from you. Something was definitely off about the letter but I didn't know how to bring it up to Elle without potentially overwhelming her.

"Notice anything off?" I asked Namjoon who had read the letter. I had gotten permission from Elle to show the boys. I told her it was so they could get a sense of what their brother in law was like too although it wasn't entirely a lie it was the only way I could think of without her getting suspicious.
"A lot is off." Yoongi stated.
"Here where it says, 'instead of doing something drastic you walk away'. That to me makes it seem like he didn't off himself." Namjoon said, Yoongi nodded staring at the letter.
"And 'I hope we can meet again, remember me until we meet again.' Either he is still alive somewhere or..."
"Insane and had some hope she'd off herself too." Jungkook shuddered.
"No, Ellie never described him to be as insane or demented. She always described him as happy and silly. Perhaps he's alive still?" I suggested.
The idea seemed absurd but not impossible. The phrasing of the words in the letter were too obvious to not mean something.
"And if he is?" Jimin asked.
"We track him down and get Elle and him to meet. She needs her brother." I said.
"She was 10 hyung. I'm sure she's not the same girl she was 12 years ago. What if her brother coming back doesn't really do anything for her? What do you hope to accomplish from this?" Jungkook asked.
"Nothing. I just, I want her to have that source of confidence in her life. I'm still a long way from getting Elles full trust. She hasn't given me her heart fully yet and until then I want her to know she has someone by her side. I want to do something nice for her and this will make her happy. She'll be relieved that he's alive."
"Or she'll become overwhelmed with emotion." Taehyung stated.
"So what am I to do then Taehyung? Pretend that I don't suspect anything? Pretend that he really is dead? What if he's not? She'd never forgive me if she found out I have suspicions and didn't tell her. I have the power, I have a strong image. I can do this." I stated.
