Nari glanced at her phone, her heart beating faster everytime she re-read the text message.

"Meet me at the ice rink, at 5PM. Please."

She was so jittery with nerves by the time she got to the rink that she could feel herself shaking a bit. Why? Why was she so nervous? It's not like they hadn't met before.

But today felt different.

The rink was dark, and she couldn't see anyone. It scared her a bit. It felt like a kidnapping scene.

She laughed, shaking her head at the though. She was so dramatic.

"Hey," Sunghoon said, and she turned around. She could see his smile even in the dark.

"Why are the lights off?" she whispered.

"Just come with me," he said softly, taking her hand and leading her to the benches, where two pairs of skates were waiting. He crouched down in front of her, taking her foot and ready to change her shoes for her.

"I can do it," she said, pushing his hands away and feeling her face heat up. Suddenly, she was glad that it was dark. That way he couldn't see her blush.

"Oh, okay," he said softly, sounding a tad bit disappointed as he sat down to put on his own skates.

When they finished, she got up and held her hand out to him, happy to see his cute little smile as he took it.

Her heart couldn't take it. His smiles were too much. He was too cute, he really was, and she couldn't take it.

She stared at their hands and her smile widened. She was really so lucky to have him in her life.

They'd started out not even talking to each other, and then became friends and now...

She wasn't sure what they were now.

"What are you doing?" She whispered, following Sunghoon. He stopped in the middle of the rink, taking her other hand. He held both of her hands and looked at her.

The lights turned on.

Nari gasped, her eyes widening as she looked around.

"This... did you... did you do all this?" She asked breathlessly. The rink was decorated beautifully, with lights and streamers and balloons.

He nodded proudly.

"But... why? Is today a special day?"

"Hopefully," he said, squeezing her hand and staring into her eyes. She suddenly found it difficult to hold his gaze.

He reached into his pocket, taking out a jewelry box and holding it out to her. She tentatively opened it, finding a pair of matching rings.

Couple rings...?

She looked up at him, wide-eyed.

"I'm hoping today could be our day one," Sunghoon said softly. "What do you say? Nari, will you be my girlfriend?"

"Yes!" She squealed without hesitation, taking out his ring and holding it out to him. He laughed happily, allowing her to put the ring on his finger, and then he took the other one out of the box and put it on her.

Nari hugged him, wrapping her arms around his neck and hiding her face in his neck. His arms wrapped around her waist as he hugged her back.

She felt giddy. Truly, the happiest she had in a while.

She was his girlfriend now.

And Sunghoon was her boyfriend.
