"Nari, could you hold these for a second?" Her mom asked, handing her a bunch of daisies. She watched as her mom's face wrinkled in concentration, staring at the half made bouquet she had in her hands.

"Mom," Nari said, leaning forward on the counter. "Don't stress it too much. Everyone ends up loving your bouquets. They're the prettiest."

"And that's because I work hard on them. That's because I stress over them," she said, taking a daisy and after much consideration, adding it into the bouquet.

"What time do I have to pick up Nayeon?"

Her mom looked up at the clock, her eyes widening as she saw the time. "You should go now, actually. And you'll have to run, or else you'll be late."

"Should I bring her to the shop or should we go home?" Nari asked, her fingers hovering over her backpack.

Her mother gave her a tired smile. "Go home. You have homework, don't you?"

"Yeah, but I can still help some more."

Her mom shook her head, patting her hand gratefully. "No honey. Go do your homework." She leaned over the counter, giving her a hug. "And thank you for helping again."

Nari grinned at her mom. "I'll see you at home!" She called out, swinging her bag on one shoulder and taking off, running to go get her little sister.

Nayeon finally started her ice skating lessons. It had been something she'd been bugging their mother for since... forever, but they'd never had enough money for it. But finally, after pinching their pennies and saving up, they'd managed to pay for lessons. How long they'd manage to keep it up, who knew. But for now, Nari was just glad that her sister was able to have them.

She ran the couple of blocks to the ice skating rink, already seeing parents and their happily exhausted children exiting. She ran faster, opening the doors and rushing inside, past the food court and into the rink.

And then stopped in her tracks.

Her feet stopped moving, and her heart almost did as well.

Because the last person she'd expected to see had been Sunghoon.

Sunghoon, talking to the last parent as they picked up their child. Sunghoon, who's cheeks were pink from the cold. Sunghoon, who was handsome and adorable and who she'd sometimes admire from afar.

Clutching onto his fingers was her sister, Nayeon. She was holding them tightly, it seemed, and at a rather awkward angle, but he didn't complain. He said goodbye to the last parent and then crouched down, asking something to Nayeon.

Nari took a breath and kept walking.

"Hi," she said, approaching the two of them. "Sorry I'm late."

"Nari!" Her sister exclaimed, rushing over and hugging her.

"How was your lesson?" She asked, pushing a strand of Nayeon's hair out of her face.

"Amazing!" Her sister squealed. "Can I show you what I learned? Please? Pretty please?"

Nari glanced up at Sunghoon, smiling apologetically. "I think Sunghoon, I mean, Mr.Park, has to be getting home. It's closing time."

"But I want you to try skating too," Nayeon pouted. "Will you come skate with me? Please?"

Nari wanted to. It had always been something she'd wanted to do. But there was no way her mother would be able to afford lessons for the both of them, so she'd hidden that wish and given it to Nayeon.

"It's closing time," Nari said again. "We really can't stay any longer," she insisted, bending down to untie her sister's skates.

"Umm... wait," Sunghoon said.

Nari looked up at him. He looked a bit nervous, a bit shy. He cheeks seemed more pink than before.

"Wait here for a minute?" He said, half asking, half telling. Then he ran off, surprisingly fast given that he was still in his ice skates.

He came back two minutes later, holding up a pair of skates.

"I got permission to use the ice for a little longer, if you'd like to try," he said shyly, holding out the skates to her.

She couldn't stop the giant grin that came to her face. "Really?"

He nodded.

Nari reached forward, taking the skates from him and sitting down to put them on. "Let's go then."
