"Take good care of him," I said to Fülane as she walked into her new room that the Valide assigned to her a couple of months back. Fülane leaned down and place a sleeping Ibrahim in his new bed. I could see how tired she was from traveling and showing the baby to the rest of the harem.

"Of course, Sultanim, I will protect him like I protect my eyes and heart," She said smiling down at the baby. I smiled patting her arm before leaving her to rest.

"Sultanim, where to now?" I wish to visit my valide. I continued walking down the harem. The concubines shot up and bowed to me with their heads down.

A loud bang made me stop in my tracks and turn to look around me to find the source but there was none. One of the harem girls let out a scream in fear before silence enveloped the harem.

"Go check what that was" I ordered Rana, she bowed and scrambled off. I walked up the stairs to my mother's wing

"Mother, is everyone okay?" I ran in panicked and forgot completely about bowing and focusing on my family. Mother was sat with Hatice beside her and Kasim in Hatice's arms.

"We're alright" Mother reassured pulling me to sit down beside her on the couch. The doors opened and Nigar Kalfa walked in with Hürrem and her three children in toe followed by Daye bringing in Mahidevran and Mustafa.

"Aunt, Neslihan" Mustafa, and Mehmed ran over and sat on either side of me. I wrapped my arms around them placing a kiss on both of their foreheads. I longed to hold Kasim but didn't have the heart to take him away from Hatice who is still suffering from her miscarriage.

"We heard a loud bang and it scared Mihrimah and Selim, but it didn't scare me," Mehmed said boasting proudly making me chuckle. The doors opened again and Ranaran in and bowed to us.

"Sultanim there is an attack at the palace, his majesty ordered for everyone to go underground," Rana said panting from all the running. I stood up along with the other women in the room shocked and confused, and very furious.

"What do you mean under attack? Who dares attack us?" Mother asked. Hatice looked at me in fear and held Kasim closer to her body.

"I have no information, Validam" Rana answered shamefully. I picked up Mehmed and Mustafa ran to his mother holding her hand, Nigar picked up Mihrimah and Hürrem was already holding baby Selim.

"Come on" Valide led the way out of her wing and down to the harem where the girls were running around frantically.

"Enough!" I yelled making them all freeze and look at all of us standing at the door. My Valide was glaring at every single one of the concubines.

"Follow us and do not bring anything with you" My Valide ordered. I could hear some of the girls groan annoyed as they dropped their things on the floor. My mother continued leading the way down to the cellar where harem aghas has already placed thrones for my mother, Hatice, and me. Two Kalfas brought pillows for Hürrem and Mahidevran and their children.

I sat down on the throne on my mother's right and sat Mehmed in my lap, he was shivering poor baby. I kissed his cheek to calm him down and rubbed up and down his back and arms to warm him up.

"Bring a shawl for the Sehzade" I ordered one of the maids, she bowed and ran back up the stairs into the danger to bring a shawl.

Seker agha walked down with his helpers bring with them a lot of food to last us at least a week down here. Seker and his helpers sat in one of the corners with their backs to us and the concubines of my brother. The maids I sent earlier back down and handed me a blue blanket, I didn't comment on it. I took it from her and wrapped it around Mehmed.

"How long will be here for?" Mother asked Sumbul agha who was praying beside us. I chuckled at the way he jumped in shock at the sound of my mother's voice like he forgot that we were even here.

"I have no information, Validam" Sumbul answered bowing to her in shame. I rolled my eyes and turned back to Mehmed who buried his head in between my shoulder and neck.

"Go find out" She ordered, Sumbul bowed and ran upstairs. This is the second attack and I have no idea why these people keep attacking us. Kasim started crying meaning he was hungry, I and Hatice traded children and I used the blanket Mehmed was wrapped around him to cover myself as I fed Kasim, Mehmed seemed much better and wasn't shivering at all and a red tint returned to his cheeks.

Hour after hour passed before the doors opened and people ran down the stairs with my brother in the lead and guards behind him. I sighed in relief when I saw him healthy and without a scratch. He kissed the back of our mother's hand before giving her a quick hug. His eyes ran over all of us to make sure we were alright.

"Come on, let's go back up, your husbands are worried about you," Suleiman said wrapping his arms around me and Hatice pushing us towards the stairs. I climbed up with Kasim in my arms, at the door Ibrahim and Mehmed Celebi were stood waiting with even more guards.

"Ibrahim" I sighed in relief when I saw him healthy and uninjured. He kissed my forehead before taking Kasim from between my arms cradling him gently and kissing his small hand.

"Are you alright?" I asked worriedly touching his arm. He smiled down at me and nodded his head making me smile in relief. I looked beside us to see Hatice and Mehmed Celebi whispering to one another.

"I'm glad you're okay Mehmed Celebi," I said earning his attention. He turned to me and bowed his head respectfully.

"Come on" Ibrahim led me away from the two and towards the door leading outside. A carriage was already waiting for us to ride. I got in first followed by Ibrahim still holding Kasim carefully in his arms.

"I'm glad your okay Ibrahim," I said starting a conversation. I took his hand into mine and rubbed circles on the back of his hand.

"Me too, I was worried when I found out that Numan was among the rebelling men," He pulled up our intertwined hands and kissed my knuckles.

"Have you caught him?" I asked worriedly. My eyes trailed to Kasim who was awake but calm and only looking around in wonder.

"No, but I will" Ibrahim promised, his gaze hardened and his grip around my hand tightened protectively.
