"Take care of yourself while in Egypt," I said softly looking up at Ibrahim who was stood in front of the mirror in our room fixing his clothes.

"I will, you take care of yourself too" He answered dryly making me sigh and look down. I knew I shouldn't have told him but I didn't want to keep any secrets from him he was my husband now.

I looked up again as he stepped closer to me stopping in front of me, he leaned down and kissed my forehead before he left the room. This kiss didn't feel like it was from his heart but like he just did it because he had to.

"Don't be sad, Sultanim, Ibrahim pasha will come around when he wraps his head around the situation" Mary reassured me as she walked into the room. I nodded and left the room from the main room to give her space to clean the room.

"Do you want anything Sultanim?" Rana asked as I walked into the main room. I shook my head and walked over to the couch and sat down opening my book to get some reading in, I haven't read anything in a while.

"Sultanim, do you know when the sultan will be backing from the hunting lodge?" Rana asked earning my attention from the book.

"No, why are you asking?" I asked closing the book and putting it to the side knowing that when Rana starts talking she never stops.

"I don't know if you've noticed but Mary has been different since before your wedding," She said. I thought back only to find she was right, Mary hasn't been herself lately.

"Remember when you met up with Ibrahim pasha and he gave you a necklace?" She asked. My hand flew to the necklace around my neck and nodded my head.

"That same day she met his majesty when he came and asked about you. Since that day she hasn't been the same" I nodded not getting what she meant for a moment.

"You mean she likes my brother?" I asked sitting up from my half-lying position and stared at her wide-eyed.

"I know she likes him, she almost spilled juice all over him yesterday" She chuckled at my reaction. We turned as the doors opened and Mary walked in.

"Rana prepare Mary" I ordered, she smiled and bowed walking over to a confused Mary who seemed a bit alarmed.

"Teach her the right rules and what to do, I'm sending her to my brother as a gift" Mary gasped and looked at me wide-eyed before a grin took over her face and she ran over pulling me in for a hug.

"Sultanim, Hatice Sultan is here" A harem agha interrupted making us pull away and turn to look at him. I haven't seen her in a while and I'm sure her visit will take my mind off of Ibrahim for a while.

"What do they want and why are they here?" I asked looking out of the window at the people standing outside of my castle with forks and torches.

"They're mad, but about what?" Hatice asked wrapping her arms around herself feeling fear for herself and her child that she carried.

"Sultanim, there's a carriage approaching the castle, it seems like a royal one" Mary informed me. I turned to face her and nodded. I walked down to the main room where Nasuh effendi was with some painter who took care of the paintings in my and Ibrahim's castle.

"Nasuh effendi, there is carriage outside I want you to see who it is, the guards are busy" I ordered. He bowed and ran out of the room with the painter.

"They're getting closer very fast," Rana said worriedly looking out of the window with frowned eyebrows. I sighed and turned to the doors as they opened and Hurrem walked in with Mehmed and Mustafa. It's been a couple of months since the dinner at my castle and Hurrem now had a new son, Selim, named after my father.

"What are you doing here in the capital?" I asked confused walking over and wrapping my arms around Mustafa who seemed shaken up.

"We wanted to come back but we didn't expect to be met with a rebellion" Hurrem explained picking up Mehmed and held him close.

"Sultanim, they're getting closer, we have to go somewhere safe. Let's go to the cellar" Nasuh effendi suggested. I nodded and pulled Mustafa out of the main room and down the stairs with everyone behind me.

"Hatice!" I turned around at the alarmed yell Gulfem let out, she never left my sister's side so I wasn't shocked when they came in together this morning. I turned around and watched in horror as she rolled down the stairs before coming to a stop at my and Mustafa's feet.

"Hatice!" I screamed shocked kneeling down beside her and shaking her but she didn't budge nor did her eyes open.

"Leo, take care of the Sultana" Nasuh effendi acted fast not getting driven by his emotions like me, he knew we didn't have time to check up on her right now.

"Come on Sultanim" Nasuh led me down the stairs while I held Mustafa as close as I can to myself and clung to me feeling afraid. I froze as I heard glass break, they're throwing things at us now? How dare they even think about a rebellion?

"Leo" Nasuh ran up the stairs as I turned around and watched the poor man fall onto his knees with Hatice still in his arms. First Hatice and now this innocent man. This night couldn't get worse.

"Stay here, I will come back for you" Nasuh took hatice from Leo and ran down the stairs. I stirred Mustafa back around and we continued running down the stairs until we reached the cellar.

I walked in first and pushed Mustafa to the corner and ordered Hurrem to sit there with her son and wait. I helped Rana pick up a pillow and placed it down on the floor before Gulfem and Mary placed another beside it just as Nasuh walked in and placed Hatice on them.

"Rana, Mary place another pillow for the painter" I ordered walking over to Mustafa who was shaking and sat down beside him pulling him closer to my chest.

"Don't be scared darling" I whispered kissing the top of his head rubbing his back comfortingly as I watched Nasuh place down Leo on the pillows.

"Rana go find the physician" I ordered watching as Gulfem placed Hatice's head on her lap. They have always been closer to each other than I and Hatice were which made me jealous as a child but now I don't mind it at all, Gulfem went through enough after losing her child.
