We are already two weeks into shooting when my husband arrives in Vancouver to start filming. Today, we will be shooting our first scene together and I still haven't seen him. The scene is in an office building in Yaletown, close to the hotel the cast is staying at. I stand on my mark knowing he's on the other side of the closed door.

He's a tight-ass boss that I just started working for and the sexual tension is thick from the beginning. Looking toward the camera crew, I see Amy pacing the floor on her phone. Lexie and Melissa are standing off to the side waiting for this moment in the script, they both love Jackson's part and this will be a beautiful scene.

The clapperboard is out, and I'm mentally getting ready for the view. "This City Never Sleeps. Scene 34. Take 1." Maxwell announces to the cameras. Once the board claps together, the take is live.

I take a deep breath as the large wooden set door opens and he stands in front of me in a luxurious power suit, fresh haircut, and a baby soft face.

WALK. My brain is shouting directions to me and I slowly move toward him.

My character is there for a private one-on-one greeting with the owner of the company, and the connection is supposed to be instant. The director has expressed his need to feel that in the first take, no pressure.

Nailed it! He takes my breath away and my legs are weak with how handsome he looks.

Jackson is fully composed and reciting his lines perfectly. I wasn't as professional as him. Take after take, I continue to screw up my lines or my mark. Everyone is getting annoyed with me and during the thirteenth take, I ask for a ten-minute break.

I walk off the set without looking at him for Amy's benefit, but really my body is crying to touch him. The plus side of this is Jackson and I can have fun role-playing during the day, but come night, we would be together come hell or high water.

Lexie follows me, and I see a small crowd trying to listen in.

Showtime Avery!

"Sorry. I just haven't seen him for a long time, and I hate that we are strangers now. I'm not sure if I can do this, Lex." I say loud enough for all the ears to hear.

"You can. Just get into character and ignore that it's Jackson." She offers me.

Jackson and I need to leave Lexie in the dark about the truth about us. If Lexie knew we were married, she might accidentally slip up. Melissa and Nate are the only people that knew on my side that we were together and engaged. Our marriage is a secret to everyone and that's exactly how we liked it.

Melissa knows about our feuding plan, she is the runner during the filming, and I knew if we didn't tell her, she would figure it out on her own. She has been with me long enough to see right through me.

"Can I get a bottle of water? And will someone help me run my stupid lines in my trailer quickly?" I shout.

For the rest of the day, we pretend to be annoyed with each other and it was fun pretending to be mad at him. I think the two of us are giving production a headache, and they are getting fed up with our childish behavior.

Mission accomplished.

"I was supposed to have the room that Avery is staying in. I need to be on that side of the building...it's in my rider." Jackson says to the production team when we wrap for the night.

Snapping my head, I glare at him. "You're not getting my fucking room. I've been here for two weeks and I request that room whenever I stay in Vancouver."

"Maybe it's time for a change." He says sternly and narrowing his eyes at me.

"NO. My room. Find a different one. I'm so sick of your I'm better than everyone attitude."
