An hour after the boys leave for Chateau Marmont, I have Melissa on the phone helping me with wardrobe and makeup. The boys had begged me to join them for their big night out on the town and finally, I gave in. I called some friends and asked them to meet us there, Brad had done the same thing before he left. Everyone is excited to meet the guy that neither one of us will stop talking about.
I pick my Elle Saab black dress, it fits tight around the bodice of the dress. The bodice is covered in beads and lace, giving it a sexy feel. The body of the dress is satin with a ruffled hem. The back of the dress hangs wide open until my waist and I felt incredibly sexy. I pick my favorite pair of peep toe slide heels and head out the door.
My hair is twisted into a funky updo and my make-up is natural with a pop of eye and lip color. The car is waiting outside to take me to the bar. I take a picture of the outfit before climbing into the back and I text it to Melissa who decided to stay in with Jeff for the night.
The moment the car is curbside, I have staff members opening my door and ushering me inside quickly, people are screaming my name as I race in. The staff leads me to the table that houses my waiting friends, two of them stop talking mid-sentence to look at me and I give them a little turn.
Brad is wearing a pair of gray dress pants and a black button-down shirt. He has shaved his stubble off his chin and looks lickable. His blue eyes follow every step I take and I soak it in.
Jackson is wearing a pair of dark wash Silver jeans and a white v-neck t-shirt. He is wearing a navy-blue baseball hat backward, my biggest weakness on him because his perfectly structured face is defined by the lights and I just want to touch him.
I know in my heart my mom is lying, but on that slim chance she's actually telling the truth, I can be patient...maybe!
"AVERY!" Jen Conner shouts.
Standing up, she races over to hug me. She was a pretty girl who had the girl next door look. Tonight, she was wearing her dark hair pulled back and her green eyes popped with her perfect make-up. She chose a pair of linen shorts with a black tank top.
"You look very cute tonight," I say back to her.
"No way! That is totally your award this evening. I hate you!" She smiles hugging me.
"Vodka cranberry." I hear both Brad and Jackson order for me.
I bite my lip to hide the giggles that threaten to escape my throat. I pull out of Jen's hug and examine the table for a spot to sit.
Jen snaps her fingers in my face, and I look at her. "Why didn't you tell me that Jackson was so freaking hot? Do you only hang out with the pretty boys? When did you and Brad start hooking up?"
She was an actress and has been in the business longer than me, but she was still looking for her big break.
Brad stands up, sensing I need help. He kisses my cheek and whispers into my ear. "You look like a piece of candy that I want to lick up and down."
I laugh.
We love using cheesy pick-up lines on each other.
"You shaved?" I pout running my hand across his jawline. "I liked the stubble."
"You did?" He wrinkles up his nose. "Most of the time, I'm getting yelled at to shave it because you girls hate waking up with a raw face."
Jen walks away from us and sits next to Jackson; he is watching Brad and me closely. I wave a quick hello and turned all my attention to Brad. "Honest? Too much?" I ask gesturing at the outfit I picked.
