Chaos was all that could be seen and heard as gunfire rang out, Negan falling away from Carl and Rick as bullets started to fly. Carl didn't waste a second before grabbing Clary's blade, lunging at Ashton. "You son of a bitch! I'll kill you, you—" Carl didn't get to finish as he heard a voice. Her voice. "Carl!"

It was closer now, causing him to look up only to see the leather clad body and painted face of the girl he loved. Immediately he forgot about the boy under him, his hands gripping at the ground to push himself to stand before he grabbed onto the girl. "I— Ashton said—" Clary shushed him, a smile on her face. "I'm here. I told him to stall Negan, I just needed some time—" Carl didn't let her finish. "I love you." The girl only kept her smile, using one hand to grab her blade from his, the other holding his cheek. "I love you, and I will say that until my last breath. But for now, we have a battle to win. You with me?" Carl didn't even have to think. "Always."

However, her attention that had been on the boy dissipated when she saw the figures approaching. Her heart leapt upon seeing Maggie guiding the people of Hilltop, Enid besides her, the both of them firing at any enemy. Close to them was Ezekiel, one hand brandishing a sword while the other fired his gun. Their eyes met for a moment, giving only a nod of reassurance before continuing the battle.

The last figure however had made her heart overflow with gratitude, the people of Solaris with war paint on their faces and weapons drawn. At the head was Leon upon his horse, gun drawn while Tris followed close behind with her gladius style sword brandished.

Clary approached the group, her people covering her as she stood before both Leon and Tris. "I thought you guys weren't coming," Clary said over the loudness of the battle. Leon fired at approaching Scavengers and Saviors before looking down at her. "And leave our Commander to fight alone? Not a chance." A smile made its way to Clary's face before she looked to the gathered people, clad in armor and weaponry. "You know who the enemy is!" Clary declared before raising her blade above her head and bringing it down in an arc. "Attack!"

Battle cries erupted from their lips, her people passing her as they did as she commanded. Her eyes met Leon's, before she gave him a nod. "Thank you." Leon only returned the nod. "Thank me when we win." And with another nod, Leon was off, Tris following close behind.

The roaring gunfire snapped her out of her emotions upon seeing her people, bringing her back into battle mode as she brought up her gun. It only took one bullet upon each of her targets, always striking true. However, as her magazine soon emptied, she brandished her sword as three Saviors surrounded her. "You'll pay for this, bitch." The girl was surprised when a smile arose on her face as the first man attacked her.

Clary was a fury of blades, one hand using her sword like a deadly extension while the other had brandished Jess' dagger from its sheath. To anyone looking on, they would have expected her to be dead immediately. Instead, she was thriving upon the death of each Savior that attacked, knowing each one to fall was simply one closer to Negan.

As her fury winded down, being surrounded by the unmoving bodies of Saviors, she looked up to see more Saviors approaching. "Clary!" She turned, her eyes landing upon Carl who a bit away with his father, Ashton backing him up. The sight was humorous to say the least, the demon of her past standing by the angel of her present. She wasted no time making her way to them, holding her sword in front of her as smoke seemed to rise. She couldn't see anything past the thick blanket of white.

Clary, who followed Carl, Ashton and Rick as they rounded the front of the RV, felt relief upon seeing Maggie doing the same. "They're falling back," Rick declared, Maggie stealing a glance to the girl before commanding her own people to tail the others. Clary turned to see her own people gathering. "Scan the perimeter, chase out anyone not standing with us. If they refuse, you know what to do." With nods from her people, they retreated to do as she said.
