It had started raining again by the time Clay and George had made it to Clay's car. Clay hadn't said a word since they got into the car, he just kept his eyes on the road. George could practically see the bad mood radiating off the blonde. The sky rumbled with dark clouds again and George missed the bright stars.

"Stop sulking," George groaned, "I'm okay."

"You could've died George," Clay answered flatly, "What were you think? I can't believe you got Crow to tell you where I was."

"But I didn't die." George rolled his eyes.

"But you could've"

"But I didn't." George answered again. "And look it was a success, see I'm fine."

"You look like you were attacked by a wild animal." Clay said scoffing. "Do you know how hard that was for both of us?"

George looked away to hide his blush as he thought back to the forest and them under the stars. The way Clay had tugged lightly at his brunette locks of hair or the way Clay came up for a hungry passionate kiss.

"Yeah, I know." George said, relieved at the fact he had chosen to wear jeans today. "But we're fine, no ones hurt."

"You literally have two freaky bite mark on your neck." Clay cringed. "No only does it sound weird to say but it also looks very weird. Anyways luckily it'll healed quickly with no scars."

"I'm too good for scars."

"George be serious for a second." Clay winced at how jokingly the small brunette was being. "You do realize you could've died or turned into a vampire? That would've been horrible."

George resisted cracking a vampire pun.

"Yes I knew the risks," George told Clay without cracking a joke or messing around. "Clay I knew but I still did it, you had very little control over the situation but look, everything is fine.

Clay hesitated for a second before taking a deep breath. He glanced at George before looking back at the road. George could tell that he was calming down and accepting the situation.

"You're right," Clay took a breath. "But how did you find Crow."

"More like she found me," George shrugged, "She kind of just appeared the moment I needed the answers she promised."

"She does have that tendency to appear whenever she's needed." Clay started but then he paused. "And you're absolutely sure she was fine?"

"Yes she was laughing and-" George paused and narrowed his eyes. Clay notice the sudden pause.

"What happened?" He asked urgently. "Did she have a cut that wasn't healed? Did she act sick?"

"No no," George answered deep in though and realization hit him. "Crow's not the one we should worry about."

"George what are you talking about?"

"Clay," George said snapping his head towards him. "How did it feel to have that hunger growing for my blood."

"Horrible," Clay shuddered, still wildly confused. "I felt as if I might accidently harm you each second I was around you."

"Now what would happen if that went on for months."

"Even if I could last that long it would be very bad. Maybe I would begin to grow use to it but I wouldn't be able to handle myself if you started bleeding."

"This is bad." George breathed, "Oh no no no."

"George explain yourself." Clay demanded worriedly, and looked over towards George.

"Okay, what if." George nodded slowly, but something flashed by in the corner of his eye and landed in the middle of the road in front of them George screamed three words. "STOP THE CAR."

The car skidded to a stop and George opened the door to get out. Between the dark sky and rain, the backroads seemed much more scarier. George glanced around but saw nothing. He could've sworn he saw a figure flash past the car and into the road.

His heart dropped as a figure stepped into the light that beamed from the car's headlights. They made eye contact and stood there for a moment. Very faintly, playing in the background of his head, he heard Clay step out of the car and protectively held George's frightened self.

Those brown eyes rolled in annoyance and the figure took another step forwards.

"Calm down Clay. I'm not after George." Ryan sighed clearly in distress and not wanting to deal with Clay. "I just want to know if Crow is third wheeling with you lovebirds."

"No she's not with us." Clay answered firmly.

"Damn it," Ryan cursed. "That's what I was afraid of."

"Is Nick," George trailed off.

"He's gone too." Ryan began to pace back and forth. "This is very bad. Nick could be in so much danger."

George pushed out of Clay's protective arms, he was to nervous to be held down. He took a step towards Ryan despite Clay's many protests.

"We have to find them." George nodded.

"Exactly," Ryan answered, clearly impressed that George was understanding the dangerous situation.

"Wait what's happening?" Clay asked extremely confused about what Ryan and George were talking about.

"Crow has been in love with Nick for months," Ryan explained flatly. "She refused to bite him in the pass so now they're both missing and now we have one hell of a situation."

"Why didn't I know about this?" Clay scoffed. Then he looked over to George, "How come you do know about this.?"

"What really gave it away was the way she talked about how exhausting the hunger is." George said.

There was a silence between the three and George and Clay turned to look at each other. George tried to explain with hand motions but Clay wasn't catching on. So George sighed.

"Are we going to take him with us to find Crow." George whispered.

"Why are we whispering." Ryan whispered loudly so George could hear as well, "I can hear what you're saying."

"Yes we are." Clay answered George clearly not excited about what was about to happen as well.

"Can you at least hide you're newly found disgust for me." Ryan groaned in annoyance. "I'm not even that bad. I was just trying to keep George and Nick safe."

"You suck at that." George interrupted. "You literally gave me vague warnings, kidnapped Crow and then disappeared into the wind."

Ryan opened his mouth in a protest but then George added the fact Ryan had tried to punch him on the that first day. "Okay okay," He admitted. "Maybe I suck at being a big brother and interacting with humans but still."

"I suck at interacting with humans too." George agreed.

Ryan gave a small smile.

"Let's stop wasting time, in the car you go." Clay rolled his eyes, clearly annoyed. "We have some vampire hunting to do."
