I had to remind myself like 20+ times that it was raining in this chapter

The car ride was nearly silent. Honestly George didn't mind, he wasn't really a fan of Ryan. Clay just kept his eyes on the road, as he brainstormed ideas of where Crow could've gone.
Dozens of minutes had passed as time slipped from their grasp. George glanced out the window to the backroads scanning for any clues. Though as much as he wanted to find Crow and Nick, he trusted them more than that.
The car skidded to an abrupt stop as Clay got out of the car. Ryan and George followed the motion, as they also stepped out of the expensive car. The rain poured down at them.
"Look it's Nick's car." Clay pointed out as George's eyes flickered towards the other parked car. "They have to be near by, keep your eyes peeled, but stay close."
"Do you think we're too late?" Ryan asked, scanning the field, "He could already be gone."
"He's not dead," George rolled his eyes at the two boys ahead of him, "Do you have no trust in Crow?"
"George you don't know what it's like to have the hunger."
"But I know Crow." George answered Ryan. "At this point I'm not surprised that you don't even know your own sister."
George expected Ryan to scoff and go on about how he knew Crow better than all of them. He half expected for Ryan to bring up about how he knew her since birth or how they had the same blood.
"Maybe you're right," Ryan whispered instead. "But that doesn't mean that I don't love her. Maybe my ways are wrong but I don't know what else to do."
There was a silence that the rain filled but Ryan continued.
"I can't lose her like mom and dad." Ryan stated. "And she'll lose herself if she accidently kills Nick."
"Maybe you're not too bad." George started.
"But you're still a very unlikable person." Clay added.
"Most likely." Ryan shrugged. "But that's okay as long as I can keep people safe."
They continued through the field, searching for their two brunette friends. No more evidence reveal itself while the three of them searched. Although George stumbled through the tall grass and saw something.
"Um guys?" George called.
"What?" Clay asked softly while he walked over towards George.
Clay looked down at the trampled grass like a pair of humans were dancing or walking over it many times. The grass was barely recovering so it was recent.
"Maybe not all humans are completely useless." Ryan smiles as he compliments George. "You actually found their trail."
"Just shut up Ryan," Clay rolls his eyes.
"Sorry I complimented your boyfriend." Ryan says sarcastically with a hint of amusement. "So possessive."
"Your one to be talking," Clay rolled his eyes, "Your so over protective that you literally locked your sister up."
Ryan shook his head and opened his mouth to answer.
"Maybe you guys should start looking and stop bickering," George sighed and shut them up. He was getting cold from standing in the soaking rain. "I've already spot them."
