George fiddled with his fingers nervously as the car pulled up in his driveway. He glanced over at Clay, after all they were all alone now. The rain still pattered on the roof of the car, filling up the void of silence.
"Would you like to come inside?" George asked sheepishly while turning to see Clay.
George met that breath taking gaze as events from the night rushed back to him. He felt a light blush dust over his cheeks as the soft gaze continued.
Clay looked at George for what seemed like an eternity, as George grew a bit nervous. Clay finally looked away and stepped out of the car. He came around the other side, walking in the rain, and opened the door for George. "Come on Georgie, we don't have all day."
George rolled his eyes at Clay's grinning face.
"You're such an idiot," George shook his head with the ghost of a smile forming at his lips.
"I feel like we had this conversation here before," Clay smirked, thinking back to memories. "At this point I'd say 'Your blushing.'"
"You're an idiot," George laughed again as he stepped out of the car. Clay shut the door behind him.
"So you've said," Clay said that familiar line. His voice soft again, nearly a whisper. The rain had nearly drowned out his words but he continued in that soft voice. "But, now..."
"Now?" George asked, his voice soft now too.
George never got an answer because in a blur of emotions, their lips crash together for the second time that night. George felt himself get pinned against the car as Clay's lips connected to his.
Clay kissed him senselessly as George tangled his hand in Clay's dark blonde locks. The rain trailed down their faces, but they didn't break their kiss. George felt Clay's hands go to his hips and George gasped at the contact. Clay took this as an opportunity to slip his tongue in. This kiss was more savored than the last, less desperate but still filled with passion.
They broke apart to take a breath and they panted for a moment. George liked this kiss better since he didn't have to worry about his life now. George whined at the lack of kissing.
"Weren't you going to invite me in?" Clay asked, a smug look still plastered on his face even as he tried to catch his breath.
George looked at Clay then back towards his house.
"You have to let me go first." George looked at the areas where Clay pinned him to the car. Clay rolled his eyes but let George go. "Okay follow me."
George walked up the path to the house and opened the door. He signaled Clay to take off his shoes as he stepped inside.
Moving boxes still littered the floor. There was hardly any furniture, to Clay it looked rather;
"It's looks kind of,-" Clay started.
"Empty?" George answered for him. "Yeah it does, I'm still waiting for my parents to get here before I begin unpacking too much. They will arrive in a week or two."
Clay nodded in an understanding as George started climbing the stairs to the second stairs. Clay began to follow him again but a picture caught his eye. He turned around and picked up a frame that had a little George grinning in it. He held it in his hand before following George up the stairs.
He followed George into a room he assumed was George's room.
"Well this is my room," George says, confirming Clay's assumption. George doesn't even turn on the light.
The room has a desk and a bed in the other corner. George looks back at Clay and realizes he's holding a picture.
"Hey! Give that back." George huffs.
Clay laughs as he watches the burette jump in attempted to grab the picture. Clay lets this go on for a bit longer before returning the picture to George.
"Are all vampires this annoying?" George asks, turning his back towards Clay as he puts down the picture. "Or is it just you?"
"What was that?" Clay asks, George can feel Clay's breath on his neck. Although George rolls his eyes at Clay.
"You're so annoying," George says.
Clay playfully lunges at George as they topple onto the bed. George falls on top of Clay, as Clay winks from under him. Before George can get up, Clay pulls him into his chest in a cuddle.
Suddenly a question flutters into George's mind.
"Clay?" George asks and Clay hums in response. "I'm not immortal like you, so what's going to happen?"
George slides off Clay and rolls on his back to look at the ceiling above. He's worried what the answers going to be.
"Well," Clay answers. "That's up to you."
"What are even my choices?"
"Well you could live your human life," Clay decides to say, slowly. "Or you could become a vampire with me."
George doesn't like the sound of the first one. He shifts to face Clay on the bed and to his surprise, Clay is already facing him.
"What if I want to become a vampire like you?" George asks and Clay noticeably hesitates.
"Well you'd have to wait for a year after I stop aging." Clay says, his voice still slow. "Because it will buy you more time. But it's up to you if you want to tell your parents or if you don't want them to know."
"I want to be with you." George whispers in the dark.
"You still have many years to decide." Clay tells him.
George doesn't answer at first, instead he just watches Clay in the dark. The thought of faking his death or disappearing from his parents ache his heart. But he wants to be with Clay.
"Many years to decide," George repeats. He knows what he wants but he can't help but to feel nervous.
A hand intertwines with his as Clay turns to face the ceiling.
"You have time." A voice whispers to him. "You don't have to worry for years to come."
"Clay?"
"Yeah?" His answer is soft.
"I was staring at you that first day." George admits.
Clay doesn't answer for a moment and George begins to think he fell asleep. George closes his eyes but then he feels a light kiss being planted on his forehead.
"You told me that you were spacing out." Clay laughs softly, George loves that sound.
"I lied." George admits. "I didn't want to seem weird."
"You're always weird." Clay laughs again in that soft tone as he plants more kisses on George's cheeks, forehead and nose.
"I think I fell in love with you on that first day." George whispers and Clay stops spreading delicate kisses.
"I think I did as well."
"Clay," George begins to say but Clay cuts him off.
"I love you."
George's heart picks up speed at those words, he knows Clay noticed because of the growing grin on his face.
"I love you too." He whispers back softly.
Clay kisses him on the forehead again but then moves down to see George's face. He gazes softly at George for a moment before leaning in to say sweet little nothings in his ear.
After a moment, Clay connects their lips in another ever lasting kiss.
