"At the school earlier did you mean it?"

"Of course." Nick told her, briefly looking away from the road to look at her brown eyes. "Why would I lie to you?"

"I don't know, I guess it's kind of hard to believe." Crow said at last, rambling. "I mean I always thought I was a monster, that's what Clay and I agreed on."

The car slowed to a stop in the middle of nowhere. Nick got out of the car and opened the door for Crow. He grabbed Crow's hand and pulled her out of the car. He gazed softly into her eyes, as he cupped her face with one hand.

"You're not a monster."

"I'm a bloodsucking vampire who needs blood to live." Crow cringed at her own words. "If that's not a monster, then, what am I?"

"You're you." Nick said ever so softly.

"But who am I?" Crow asked. "Am I simply a vampire? Or maybe I'm just a girl."

"Why can't you see what I see?" Nick sighed, moving a strand of hair from her face. "You're so much more than that. You're not even close to simple. Just when I think I know everything about you, you surprise me."

"Say those words that you said at the school again." Crow asked, her heart beginning to flutter at the brunette's words.

"I love you." Nick whispered to her.

He began to lean towards her as he placed his other hand on her waist. Time slowed as she leaned in too. The ghost of his lips brushed against hers. She closed her eyes.

Suddenly she pushed him away and clutched her face with one hand. The smell of his blood filled her senses, it was too strong. She felt his hand land on her face lifting it up.

"It's okay." Nick told her. "We both knew this was going to happen eventually."

"I can't put you in danger." Crow shook her head. "I already put George in danger."

"What do you mean?"

"He found out that Clay and I are vampires." Crow started and Nick nodded his head to encourage her to continue. "Well Clay likes George and George likes Clay. I told him where Clay was after Clay left him."

"When did he find out?"

"A few minutes after you 'walked in on them.'" Crow shrugged. "Or whatever that means."

"Look, Clay has worse control than you." Nick reassured. "I'll be fine."

"No you don't understand." Crow began to pace back and fourth. "George never sent me a text that he was fine yet. I specifically told him to leave me a text if it was a success."

"Crow." Nick called to her. "I'm sure he is fine, he most likely forgot because he's too busy cuddling with Clay or something."

"Maybe."

"Crow you need to stop worrying about other people for a second and start worrying about yourself." Nick said grabbing her shoulders. "You've been suffering and that needs to end now."

She blinked.

"Nick." She sighed. "It's been months, I don't know how well I could control the situation."

Nick traced her bottom lip with his thumb. She hated but loved the way it made her feel. She batted his hand away.

"You're going to have to do it eventually."

"I know."

For the first time she looked around were Nick took her. There was a field surrounded by trees. Although as she glanced around the sky started pouring down.

"Looks like the storm finally caught up with us." Nick said over the thundering rain. "Our first kisses under the rain, wouldn't that be so romantic."

"I suppose it would," She giggled.

Nick led her by her hand into the field as she followed him to the middle. The rain was pouring down on them. Though they didn't mind. He hummed to her softly for a moment.

"You're so beautiful." Nick told her. She laughed and was starting to warm up. He would've confess to her earlier if it meant he got to see that smile.

"Would you like to dance kind sir?" She asked, with a fake curtsy. He laughed with her as she offered her hand.

"I'd love to," He replied, taking her hand. "To whom may I have this honor of dancing with?"

"Why, I'm Lady Crow of the Vampire court." She giggled as she tried to keep up the noble act.

"It's a pleasure to meet you m'lady." He winked, kissing her hand very flirtatiously.

"Likewise." She nodded.

He spun her around as they began to waltz under the rain. Their laughter mix together as they continued to different romantic dances under the pouring sky.

They danced under the rain, unaware of how the future might turn out and unaware of their friends searching for them. Though they danced as he twirled her around.

Their dance came to an end as he planted a kiss on her lips. She melted into the kiss, unaware of how long she wanted to do this for. Her stomach burst into butterflies as the kiss deepened. His lips were warm on hers.

They broke apart grinning like mad.

He twirled her rain soaked hair in his fingers. She smiled at the action and held in another laugh.

"Hey, it's time." Nick nodded. She knew that this was going to be unavoidable. "Are you ready?"

"I'm scared but I'm as ready as I'll ever be."
