Time breezed by as the day began to cast a golden color across the land. George's skin still prickled with some mild anger as Clay continued to avoid him. George was sitting on a velvet couch as Clay sat across the room. Clay was laying in the love seat. George shifted in his spot and glanced towards Clay, their eyes met and George's face set to fire but Clay looked away. George sighed and looked back to the TV.
Nick walked in with a bucket of popcorn and candy, he froze when he felt the tension in the air. Nick glanced at Crow who wear a grimace expression.
Nick walked around and sat on the middle couch with Crow. Crow hummed and grabbed some popcorn and stuffed it in her mouth. Nick watched her in disbelieve.
"Aren't you like super allergic to most food?" Nick asked and George perked up. "Including popcorn." Crow grabbed some pink Nerds, and Nick added, "And candy."
Crow shrugged and ate another handful of popcorn.
"Wait," George spoke up. "How allergic are you?"
"Let's find out," Crow said munching more on popcorn. Her eyes lit up. "Oh my, what have I been missing out on, popcorn is so good."
"You already know how allergic you are," Nick said snatching the popcorn bowl away. "You're practically deadly allergic."
"Crow," George said when he heard deadly. He looked at her like she was going to die, "Don't eat this food."
"I may be deadly allergic, but I'm deadly hungry," Crow said, taking the bowl back and Nick let her. Clay looked at her with a funny look when she said that sentence. His green eyes narrowed but seemed to shrug the thought.
"Clay," Nick told him, "Tell her to stop."
"Not my fault, and she's driving herself home if she gets bad. Her idea not mine." Clay shrugged and returned his attention back at the TV. "Plus, like she'll listen anyways."
George looked at Clay's face. His gaze trailed in the taller boy's features. Soft tinted lips, dark green eyes, and dirty blonde hair. George found himself staring and looked away before he was caught. Clay's low voice spook up and George tried his best not to react.
Damn you and that low voice you use.
"Crow," Clay told her, "I think that's enough."
Crow rolled her eyes. A moment of silence passed between them and Crow sighed. She handed to bowl to Nick. "Fine, but I'll be outside, I need some fresh air." She stood up and stumbled away, she nearly fell then she was out of sight.
Crow turned and leaned against the wall in support once she was out of sight. She clutched her head at the hunger, she shook her head and tripped out the door. The hunger grazed at her stomach,as it began to reject the popcorn and candy.
She stood in Nick's backyard under the golden sun. The sun was setting and it casted warmth around her. Her skin tingled at the touch at first before relaxing into the light. She watched as the sky started to fade into a purple.
"Please," She whispered, "I don't want to hurt anyone."
"Crow," A soft voice said behind her and she twirled around.
When Nick followed after Crow, Clay tried to stop him. Though Nick just shrugged Clay away and followed the girl. Then it was just Clay and George.
Clay debated on saying something as the tension grew stronger, and as the silence deepened. Clay's eyes flickered to George's eyes which were pretending to be interested on the TV.
"So," Clay said and George shook his head, ignoring Clay. "George, look at me." George grumbled and looked at Clay. That green gaze looked so vulnerable and it took George aback. "I get why you are mad."
"Oh, do you now?" George said a bit saltily before instantly regretting it as guilt fell over him. George got up as Clay made room for him on the loveseat.
George reached the loveseat and Clay grabbed his wrist and pulled George into him. George tensed in shock at the embrace but eventually relaxed, Clay murmured softly.
"I'm sorry," Clay told George. "Can we just go back to being friends."
Clay's body erupted into flames as George snuggled into his chest. Clay's hand automatically went to George's hair and the other one around the small, protectivally.
"Yea," George mumbled ever so softly into Clay's green hoodie and playing with the hoodie strings, melting Clay's heart. "Let's be friends again."
Clay could hear the brunette's voice getting softer as the smaller boy drifted off. Clay cradled him in his arms. The nightmare flashed through his mind but Clay shook his head at the thought.
"Me, hurt you?" Clay told George as the small boy fell asleep, "I would never."
A few moments of bliss past as Clay gazes so softly at George as if he gazed any harder, George would wake up. In his sleep, George buries his face deeper into Clay's chest. Clay tenses in attempt to keep his heart still.
"Finally you made up," A soft voice says from behind Clay. Clay whirls his head around and is about to talk when Crow puts a finger on his lips and points to George. "Don't be loud."
"That's kinda gay," Nick grins before snapping a picture.
"Nice to see you're alive," Clay nods towards Nick.
"Haha, very funny." Crow said, "Like I would sink my fangs to that, Clay, you know I don't like junk food."
"I'm going to pretend I didn't hear that, since I know I'm charming."
"Well aren't you becoming a little prince charming." Crow said sarcastically yet quietly.
"Okay then," Clay said to them and George stirred in his sleep. Crow glared at them for being loud. Though George just softly clutched Clay's hoodie before returning to his state of sleep.
"Not gonna lie, that was cute." Crow said and Clay felt that. "You sure you don't like him."
Clay rolled his eyes but didn't say anything.
"Oww," Crow groaned and clutched her stomach.
"Come on Crow," Nick said grimly, "Like I said, you're deadly allergic."
Clow whacked him while clutching her stomach. "I'm not going to die, I'm not deadly allergic."
"Just drink my blood Ms. Dracula."
"Oh shut up, you don't know what you're asking for." Crow said grimly as Nick led her away.
