For the past few months of her life, Clarissa Dean had never thought she could find such joy and love with her newfound family. This group of people, who had no reason to care for her the way in the way they did, had changed her in ways she never thought possible. They showed her how to forgive again... how to find peace again... how to love again.
But she was stupid, and she had also learned how to forget again. How to forget that she was supposed to be dead. They got her to forget that she was enemy number one to a group of killers that wanted nothing more than for her to die. They got her to forget that she was being hunted down for all she had done.
Now, Clarissa Dean is faced with the realization that the past she thought she could escape— maybe even had escaped— was catching up to her. And fast.
And now?
Now, staring face to face with the very man that had destroyed her, she had never felt so broken. She couldn't help but mourn for the hopeful future built upon the ideas of love and family that Glenn and Maggie had placed into her mind had been shattered.
They had been shattered all because of his smile.
