Chapter 6

"Hey, there." (Obi-Wan, is that you?) "I'm Jimmy Fallon." (I guess not-) "Welcome aboard the Gyrosphere, an amazing machine made possible by science." Y/n watched the screen infront of her, seeing the popular talk show host in a scientist get-up.

"Your safety is our main concern which is why you're behind our invisible barrier system," Gray was listening to the show host in interest while Zach was looking around for any creatures nearby since the area they were at was completely isolated.

"which protects you from things like Dilophosaurus venom, one drop of this can paralyze you, so watch out." Y/n sucked in a sharp breath at the sight of the green gooey substance all over Jimmy's right hand and inside one of his nostrils.

"Is this real? It is?" The man on the screen fainted, showcasing the reality of this. Y/n leaned against her seat to rest her head since being stuck in a a hamster ball doing nothing for a long time was honestly tiring.

"And for added protection, each vehicle is surrounded by aluminum oxynitride glass. So tough, it can stop a 50-caliber bullet, the Gyroscopic technology will keep you upright at all times..." Even Gray grew bored of the video, the future paleontologist of the Mitchell family.

"Where are they?" Gray questioned, "So you've got nothing to worry about." The video ended. Y/n groaned, "I don't know, should we head-" She was cut off by the sound of dinosaurs lowing.

Zach's eyes lit up, "Oh, man." He looked back at Y/n and then, at Gray, to see if they were as in awe as he was.

His veiny hands pushed the joystick forward, leading the hamster ball towards the source of the sound. Y/n didn't find it difficult not to stare at his hand when the prehistoric living creatures before her had her attention the most.

Adult herbivorous dinosaurs roamed the plains infront of the trio. Y/n's phone long forgotten, only her memories would capture the magical sight before her.

Zach guided them through the breathtaking scenery skillfully. Their eyes followed the movements of the dinosaurs, as though they were roaming the grounds 65 million years ago.

"Wow.." That was all that came out of Y/n's mouth.

A woman announcer's voice coming from the screen caught their attention, "Due to technical difficulties all our exhibits are now closed. Please disembark all rides
and return to the resort." On the screen was written, Ride Closed.

The three looked at one another in disappointment. This announcement had to be communicated just when they were about to experience the dinosaurs fully and in all of their glory.

Gray sighed in disappointment, playing around with the side of his seat. Zach spoke up, "Come on. No, we can stay out a couple more minutes, right?" He looked at Y/n for confirmation that the route he was choosing to comfort Gray was the right one.

Y/n nodded, a small smile on her face as she shoved his shoulder playfully, this was sweet of him.

"But.. they said it was closed." Gray reminded.

"Aunt Claire gave us special wristbands, right? We're VIP, dude."
Zach encouraged.

"Come on. It'll be fun." Y/n's heart skipped a beat at the way Zach said it and that smirk on his face.
