Chapter 4

Zach and Y/n were keeping their distance from each other as Gray stayed close to them- he didn't want another argument to ensue.

Soon, the kids and Zara arrived at a petting zoo called 'Gentle Giants Petting Zoo'. Children were saddled to Triceratops, riding on the baby dinosaurs as if they were horses.

Y/n found this as a bit of an issue like she did with riding horses. She was hoping that those dinosaurs were not being mistreated.

Another group of children were observing and petting a baby gallimimus, the creature chittered and growled- enjoying the pets.

Inside the petting zoo were baby Apatosaurs, one was ambushed by a child hugging it too tight. Baby Gallimumuses were running around with children chasing after them and Triceratops were marching around with children saddled to their backs.

"Poor babies." Y/n sighed, feeling bad for the baby dinos, it must be awful being harassed by children like that.

Gray was jumping up and down beside her, the adults infront of him were obscuring his view. Gray decided to ask Zach for help, "Lift me up, I can't see!" He ordered.

Zach gave the boy a weirded-out look.

"I'm not dad and you're not five" Zach stated but regardless, he was trying to see if there was an opening for his younger brother to observe the dinosaurs from.

Y/n rolled her eyes at his words, following after the two brothers. "I can still ride a Triceratops, I'm 47 and a half inches" Gray told the two teens.

Y/n shook her head, "It'd be better if you don't cause.." She went on her tip-toes to look at the baby Triceratops' speed slowing down, "they're already tired as is."

Gray sighed, "You're right." He said before managing to finally find an opening and jumping on a rock so as to take pictures of the petting zoo.

Zach frowned, how did she manage to settle Gray down so quickly? That kid had SO much energy.

"This place is for little kids" Zach said restlessly, he was bored having to be kept away from the dinosaurs he was promised to see.

"Yup." Y/n agreed, popping the 'P'. Y/n and Zach both froze for a moment because this was the first time she has spoken to him since their argument.

"Yeah, I know." Gray agreed with his brother as well, "Wanna go on the spinning dinosaur eggs?" Gray questioned.

"Sure."

"Nope."

Y/n frowned at Zach's lack of enthusiasm, he could at least pretend to be interested for his brother after having told her to stop bringing Gray places the boy wanted to visit.

Zach read Y/n's expression perfectly. He messed up earlier, he knew this but he didn't have it in him to apologise.

"Cover up your dork pouch" Zach told the younger, pulling at his shirt. Gray did as was told but it only appeared once again when he went back to taking pictures.

Y/n looked at her own pouch, opening it to pull her phone out when Zach nudged her. Y/n ignored him and was about to go on Insta but Zach turned her head to face Zara.

"Look.." He whispered in her ear, his fingers wrapped around her forearm.

"Because it's my wedding, no...Alec's not having a bachelor party because all his friends are animals." Zara was discussing her wedding and this meant that... she was distracted.

Y/n and Zach exchanged looks, they knew what they had to do. Y/n placed her hand on Gray's shoulder, "Scatter." She told him.

"What?" Gray questioned, walking towards the teens. "Go. Run." Zach told Gray, holding at Y/n's hand while they ran together.
