Prompt: Describe your style

My own style. I have multiple styles for different things. My writing style is descriptive when it matters, with inside jokes and darker themes. It can be all over the place in some parts, yet very well organized in others.

My musical style, I prefer sadder, darker, songs. I write music and poetry that's very expressive. I listen to more rock/rock and roll/alternative/emo music, with some musical theatre in there. I listen to Linkin Park, Fall Out Boy, Daughtry, Boyce Avenue, Hamilton, Wonderland, Lion King the musical, Shawn Mendes, Demi Lovato. My favorite songs tell a story.

Now my clothing style, I dress in darker colors. I wear flannels and beanies, black sneakers or my Doc Martens and I never wear skirts or dresses unless I am going to a fancier event. My hair is short and I color it. I like to wear chain earrings, ear cuffs, dark jewelry. I would definitely characterize my clothing style as Emo. Which is not goth. It's a more stylish goth, with more openness to lighter colors. It's less gaudy and noticeable than goth. Yet it is still dark.

My style has definitely changed over time, I used to listen to more Katy Perry, Selena Gomez (before she sold out) and disney channel type music. I used to not care at all about what I wore, which led to me wearing horrible outfits. I used to wear dresses all the time, but then I slowly turned into more emo clothes. I can see my clothing style changing in the future, depending on where I live.

Style is something we can change. It might naturally develop on its own, or you can actively work on it. You can get an outside perspective, and you can practice and watch your writing style change.

The thing about style though. Your style in clothing, writing, music, what books you read, what sports or games you like, it all reflects who you are. A person can go through your music playlist and tell a lot about you. It can show what you are into, what your general mood is, and influences in your life. What clothes you wear is how to portray yourself. If you wear brighter colors, heels, sneakers, leather jackets, sweatpants, hoodies, big fur coats, mismatching socks, skirts, or dresses, these types of things can tell a lot about who you are, depending on how deep you look at it. The way you decorate your room tells us about who you are, whose photos you have up, posters, the color scheme, the books you own. All this paints a picture as to who you are.
