(Metal Sonic's POV)

I groaned and woke up on some couch, seeing that I was still in Sonic's house, and sighed to myself before sitting up, rubbing my head to ease the aching it was causing. I glanced around, seeing that it was most likely dawn. I could hardly remember what happened yesterday, only that Sonic took me to a hospital, but that was it.

"Morning, sleepyhead!" A familiar voice said.

I glanced over, seeing Sonic coming down the stairs that leads to who knows where while he was giving me a small smile. I felt my ear twitch in response as I stayed silent, feeling slightly annoyed at him before I turned my head away from him and slouched on the couch.

"How'd you sleep?" Sonic asked as he stepped in front of me.

"Do you always ask your damsels in distress that?" I grumbled, glancing away from him to avoid his gaze.

"It's actually because since you used to be a robot, you've never slept the same way Mobians and humans do," Sonic replied to me. "And you may have passed out when we got back last night, but I always like to make sure just in case." He inquired.

"Fascinating," I replied sarcastically before shifting to where I was now sitting on the couch, facing away from Sonic.

"Still mad about the incident I see," Sonic commented.

I stayed silent, refusing to say anything, let alone look at him. Sonic stepped in front of me, a slightly concerned look on his face while he glanced at me, almost like he was trying to get even a little bit of a reaction out of me.

"So you're giving me the silent treatment now?" Sonic questioned, sounding somewhat disappointed.

"Leave me alone," I said and lied down on the couch, putting both my hands behind my head.

"Why are you acting like this?" Sonic questioned me, sounding a little frustrated.

I stayed silent, my ears pinning on my head as much as they could while I closed my eyes, pretending that I was in deep thought until I felt Sonic poking my shoulder and my eyes shot open from irritation.

"Knock it off!" I snapped and sat up, my face close to Sonic's for a split second before he fell back from my outburst.

"Metal what the heck is your deal?" Sonic questioned me as he stood up on his feet.

"It should be obvious already what my deal is," I replied to him.

"For Chaos' sake, I didn't turn you into a Mobian on purpose, I even called Tails earlier to look into how it happened," Sonic replied.

"Like that won't take forever." I scoffed. "With how long I've tried to kill you, you'd think that you wouldn't want anything to do with me at all," I added.

Sonic responded with his expression having frustration in it as I noticed his hand curled into a fist and shaking until it stopped and he sighed, almost like he was restraining himself.

"Look Metal, I don't know what Eggman told you about me to have you hate me so much, but the past has to be behind us now if we want to find out what turned you into a Mobian," Sonic said.

"Eggman didn't have to say anything, it's those times you humiliated me in front of him that did it, you did that," I replied sternly.

"Maybe..." Sonic replied, his tone turning unusually sad. "But is it that hard to let it go for a few weeks?" He asked me.

"Yes, it is," I answered him. "If you think there will be a time that we're no longer enemies, then you've surely become more of an idiot than the first few times we encountered each other," I said and stood up from the couch, walked towards the door before opening it up and closing it once I was outside.
